atlanta native, outgoing, yoga teacher.
Lisa was warm, welcoming and a pleasure to spend time with. Location was quiet and convenient.
I had a very nice visit with my daughter who goes to Emory, thanks in part to Lisa. Her place is very close to the Clairmont Campus, as well as Decatur's farmer's market and square with lots of dining options. My room was quiet and comfy, and I was free to come and go according to my schedule. I'd recommend Lisa's place for anyone wanting to come to Atlanta but not stay in a hotel.
She also had plenty of teas to offer, fridge space, and a sweet kitty-Leo!!! Nan
Lisa has a solar personality: she radiates happiness everywhere she goes and shares it with the people around her. Staying with her was not simply a way to get a roof on my head but a enlightening experience. First of all, she was a real help to me: I had just arrived in Decatur, knew no one and had no idea where to go, and Lisa showed me around introduced me to her friends, making me feel really welcome. She took care of me at the time, and still is even though I left the house. Thanks to her I also started doing yoga -everyday!- and now follow her classes. She got me completely hooked. And then of course, her house is beautiful place to be in: very relaxing, spacious and welcoming. Oh, and not to be missed, the adorable ginger ball of fur that is Leo the cat: over a couple of days, we developed a real bond, and he ended up sleeping with me when I let him.
Lisa welcomed us into her home as though we were family. Ten days later, we felt like family! She is smart, outgoing and funny. Her house is located in a quiet neighborhood a couple of blocks from a main road in Decatur and within walking distance of Emory campus, the bus stop to downtown Atlanta, and to several local shops including a bookstore, a health foods store, a supermarket and Mexican Willy's for lunch.
Our bedroom was big and clean with windows that opened to nature: clean air, falling rain, big trees, occasional owl hoots, train whistles and one coyote call. We made our own breakfasts and I practiced Yoga in Lisa's spacious downstairs studio. She has been a Yoga teacher for many years and offers instruction to groups and individuals. Her house is gracious and comfortable, and she is an unforgettable hostess. We also salute Leo, the cat!
Lisa was lovely, and her house is very conveniently located.
Lisa is a great hostess. She is knows the neighborhood very well and is willing to make recommendations for her guests without hesitation!
I was in town for a week long workshop[ and it was easy to get to around. The neighborhood is beautify and Lisa's house is lovely
Lisa is a lovely, warm-hearted individual. Her house is perfectly situated and convenient if you are doing work at Emory. My trip was great!
I stayed at Lisa's for three weeks while training at the CDC. I had a great time and Lisa is full of suggestions for things to check out while in town.
I stayed for three weeks and enjoyed every minute. I'd definitely stay there again. Lisa is a very friendly and helpful host. She picked me up from the train station, took me to the farmer's market and I could take any of her yoga classes for free. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Emory, Decatur downtown and shopping opportunities are just around the corner. You don't necessarily need a car for going to Emory and Decatur, but it is helpful to discover the rest of Atlanta.
I enjoyed my stay at Lisa's very much. The place was clean and comfortable, and Lisa was quite welcoming. Thanks, Lisa, for a warm Atlanta welcome!
Lisa and her family were great. Very friendly and energetic. Clean and respectful - she even left a little gift - very thoughtful. She was also flexible and communicative. They checked in a little early and were very flexible with my schedule to come meet them (I was running about 15 minutes late) and they kept me up-to-speed with their plans.
