Great host, great pad, great experience. You cant beat the location and hospitality. I'll happily recommend to all my friends and stay there again. -J
Great apartment, great location, great host! Would absolutely recommend and stay there again.
We had a blast staying in Gregory and Vince's place! It was comfortable, colorful, and filled with character and charm. The location was excellent - right off the park and easily walkable. We had great communication with Gregory, and our transitions in and out were very smooth. Highly recommended. Happy Mardi Gras!
Greg was a fantastic host - very responsive and ready with advice and tips on the city if we needed them. The place was adorable and super convenient if you're going to spend most of your time in the French Quarter. I would absolutely stay here again on my next trip to The Big Easy.
Perfect location and very accomodating
Our first trip to NOLA and as first-time airbnb guests. After our harrowing holiday season, we just wanted to be immersed in a different crowd of kindred spirit. So happy to find a place where we can put up our feet, sit back, and enjoy ourselves like locals.
The place is as described and appealed to our need for peace, privacy, and proximity! The character of the space is eccentrically endearing and cozy. As guests, we didn't want to be too much trouble, but we remained unworried since Gregory and Vince were just a hop (or text) away.
Mister Gregory's is where we started our days for a petit dejeuner, and after hitting a few restaurants and bars around town we found ourselves ending our evenings at Bar Tonique. So grateful we could take a nap or watch a movie in the apartment when we were not conducting research. Great walking location and managed to visit 27 places on our to do list -- only took cabs when our direction was out of the French Quarter. And we were very touched by the warm Southern hospitality despite the freak ice storm.
A few times we were mistaken for locals -- a good sign that we were experiencing the REAL French Quarter, right? Will have to plan our return during more pleasant weather to enjoy the space fully and explore more of the Vieux Carre!
Gregory's place is excellent. Very clean, the bed was comfortable, the art is amazing, the heaters did their job. We are city people so we don't expect dead silence at night, Rampart traffic never stops completely but we slept well regardless. If you're lucky you'll meet some roaming chickens in the garden area.
You can walk anywhere in the French Quarter: bourbon street in 5 minutes, Cafe Du Monde in 10, downtown in 15. If you want a less touristy experience, our favorite places were: The Green Goddess (casual but incredible dinner, veg/vegan friendly), Surrey's Cafe & Juice Bar (breakfast, a fun/safe 2 mile walk through downtown and warehouse area), The Orange Couch (great coffee!). If you want to duck the crowds 1/2 block from bourbon street for a quiet classy drink, go to Orleans Grapevine (wine) or 21st Amendment Bar (cocktails).
Thanks Gregory and Vincent! We would definitely want to stay again the next time we are in town.
The apartment is great. Just as described by Gregory.
Great location; in the French Quarter but away from the busiest streets.
This was our second trip to NOLA and we decided to make it our very first AirBnB experience - so far, so good!
We confirmed that we would be arriving late (after midnight) and had absolutely no issues "checking in." We got to meet Vince who was an EXCELLENT host and was always available if necessary.
The location is perfect - right across the street from Louis Armstrong park and its many festivals. In fact, we made it to the Treme Gumbo Festival during this trip.
The apartment is full of awesome artwork and very clean & cozy. There's a balcony and an awesome courtyard as well. Vince has an art studio downstairs and we got to see some of his incredibly cool artwork!
We had coffee and a quick bite for breakfast at Mister Gregory's Cafe a number of times, as well as a a few superb cocktails at the mixology bar, Tonique, which was suggested to us by Vince.
Overall, this was a perfect experience and we will definitely choose to stay here again during our next trip to NOLA!
Rented this spot from Vince and Greg for a weekend trip with a friend, and had a great time. Their place is very clean, well decorated, and relaxing. Despite being on Rampart, there is next to no outside noise from traffic or people passing by. The location is great as it's an easy walk to anywhere you will want to go.
Would definitely stay here again.
