I am a Los Angeles-based artist. I live in Echo Park with my husband Michael (composer) and three teenage children.
I loved staying for 4 weeks in Monique's cute bungalow in Echo Park! If you're looking for a place where you can get around the neighborhood without a car, this is it. I loved that I could walk to tons of good places to eat, a grocery store, a Friday farmer's market, a local foods shop, a beautiful park, and coffee shops with free Wi-Fi. It was convenient to take the bus to go to other neighborhoods, too.
The bungalow is very cute and cozy, with plenty of storage space in the closet, enough hangers, and just what you need to cook in the little kitchen. Monique was easy to communicate with and it was a pleasure to stay here.
A VERY cute bungalow indeed. We had a nice time, thanks Monique in being prompt and being a welcoming host. And i have never tasted beer with coffee in it before ;)
Monique's place was fantastic. The bungalow was clean and comfortable and the location couldn't be better. It might be the most walkable area of LA--bars, groceries, restaurants and a weekly farmers market, all within a 5min walk.
We had a wonderful time staying at Monique's bungalow in Echo Park. The location is absolutely ideal, and the space itself is clean, bright and cozy.
We were unable to meet Monique, but she facilitated everything brilliantly, making our stay in Los Angeles very enjoyable. Highly recommended!
We stayed at the bungalow for 12 days. It was a good location for us as our son and grandson live within a half mile. Monique was very responsive to our needs and we would highly recommend this place. The location is within two blocks of Sunset Blvd. which has buses running every few minutes to downtown LA which is only 15 minutes by bus and also about a 15 minute bus ride to the Vermont & Sunset Subway station.
I can highly recommend Monique's cute Echo park bungalow. The area of Echo park is definitely my favorite in LA and it is so convenient, close to Sunset boulevard with so much public transport. The actual bungalow is cosy yet has plenty of room and a great vibe. I never got to meet Monique in person as we were running late from the airport bit she was very helpful via phone and text and was helpful for food and other local recommendations. Would definitely stay at the bungalow again!
Thank you to Monique for hosting us. The bungalow is a lovely and very convenient place. We had a great time there. Everything before and during our stay went well. This is a place to add to our bookmarks for any future stay in L.A.
It is easy to communicate with Monique and she is helpfull. I dide't meet her but we felt welcome.
The bungalow is quite big, very very nice and confortable. And very important it's clean.
Thanks Monique we very appreciate
Monique's apartment is great and was just what my husband and I were expecting from the photos on the listing. It was clean and well presented. We cooked dinner in the kitchen one evening and found that there was everything we needed to cater for ourselves in the apartment. Street parking is available and generally wasn't too tricky to find. There are plenty of fun bars, coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance, and nearby Sliverlake also has lots of cool places to eat and drink. Echo Park lake is really close and is a lovely place to visit. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Monique!
I've been traveling to Los Angeles for years and Monique's bungalow is the best experience I've ever had, hands down. The bungalow is so thoughtfully set up--every time I wondered, "hmmm, I wonder if there's any...?" I just looked and there it was: soap, extra towels, pots and pans. The cozy space is impeccably clean, absolutely lovely. At Monique's suggestion I spent my first early morning having coffee a few blocks down at the new Echo Park Lake cafe in the boathouse: sun, water, ducks, and caffeine. Perfect. I am already scanning the calendar to see when I can return.
Monique and husband are great guests, my place was left clean and organized. I hope they come back to NYC soon and I can host them again. Thank you Monique!
