The Apartment was just what we wanted. Light, airy and spacious during the day and comfortable and cosy at night to recuperate from a day of sight seeing. There is New York street noise (what do you expect) but no noisy or irritating neighbours. The position is great with two subway lines within easy walking but the district itself, is exciting with wonderful eating options nearby and theatre, music and comedy all within cooee so you never want to leave. But you do because the rest of New York is waiting to be explored.
Sascha was wonderful. He met us upon arrival and showed us around. His generosity is amazing and he was on hand via email at all times. Would I go back? Of course.
All around a great stay! The accommodations were exactly as described and the communication with Sascha in setting everything up, answering questions and providing feedback couldn't have been better. I only hope that my family and I were as good a guests as he was a host.
To be honest, I was a little hesitant trying the whole AirBnB thing out for the first time especially having my family (wife, 2-year old, mother and father) in tow, but things worked out perfectly and hopefully Sascha's place will be available in the future should I decide to return to NY.
Sascha, thanks again for a great stay!
This is a clean, nice apartment in a terrific location. Really close to one of the best neighborhoods in New York, and tons of amazing bars, restaurants and more within just a few blocks. The apartment itself is very comfortable and we had a great stay. Check-in was easy and everything went very smoothly.
A great appartment and a great location! Appartment has good size, perfect for two couples with good size seperate bedrooms and bathroom. A very helpfull doorman provided us with keys and helped us keep the luggage safe after checkout. Never met the host in person, but he was easy to reach by Mail and phone. All in all a great place to stay in NYC!
I had a wonderful and memorable 3 night stay at Sascha's apartment. The neighborhood was exactly where I needed to be for my trip. The elevator building made toting luggage a breeze. The apartment itself was clean, beautiful, spacious...understated elegance, and the fully equipped kitchen was much appreciated! Everything was comfortable and easy, zero problems, and Sascha was a sweetheart and super helpful! I highly recommend Sascha's lovely apartment for anyone looking for a great NYC experience!
We had a fantastic time at Sachas apt. It looks as good as the picture. I would recomend it to everyone
Sascha (Alexander) was a great host. Unfortunately, we were not able to meet him personally, but he was very easy to get in contact with and responded to questions immediately. He arranged everything for us prior to arrival and gave us additional info about the neighborhood. The apartment was exactly as described and clean. I would definitely stay at his apartment again.
We had a blast! I had never been to Alphabet city before; I did not even knew it existed, but as our Daughter was graduating and she has just move to this area we decided to book Sascha's Apartment for a week. The area is an amazing place for students and young people in general....not as expensive as mid Manhattan and has plenty of restaurants, bars, and trendy places in general. It is half a block away from Tompinks Square Plaza which it is very much alive with activities on the weekends and music and just people hanging out...it is like little Alphabet City's Central Park...The property is incredible as it has everything you may need; decorated with taste and with all the amenities you could think of, it even has a Roof Garden that you can rent for a BBQ if so desired; a Gym, Doorman (I think it is the only apartment building with a doorman in the area). "Esperanto" Restaurant was a great discovery for drinking and dinning and "Pick me Up" Bistro was great for breakfast and brunch on the weekends. The area makes you fell "local" and even though it is not a touristic place you will find many, many things to see and do. Saitn Marks Place is an amazing street that offers different experiences in dining and wine such as the "Cafe Orly" and many other places that it is not even funny. You will be walking distance to Soho, East Village including Washington square park, West Village and the "Phat Cat" Jazz Lounge that you will have to come back again and rent the place once more. Everything was so perfect that we did not had a reason to meet Sascha except probably for the sake of it. Unfortunately we did not had time as Grad time was a priority...Thanks Sascha...we highly recommend your property....we will lease it again for sure....cheers
Sascha was extremely helpful and easily contactable. The apartment was a wonderful space in an very exciting area full of great bars and excellent places to eat. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to stay and would definitely choose this apartment to stay on my next visit to NY. Unfortunately due to both our busy schedules I did not get to meet Sascha personally but I look forward to this on my next visit.
Firstly I would like to say that communication with Sascha from the 1st inquiry was fantastic, always immediate & helpful. Sascha was on vacation the week we were visiting NYC but the whole check in process was flawless. The apartment was perfect for our party of four's needs & is exactly as displayed in the photos. It was in a fantastic location, with unlimited access to all the bars & restaurants that East Village has to offer. Another highlight is the rooftop terrace with amazing 360 degree views of the whole city. We would definitely rent Sascha's apartment again & would not hesitate in recommending it for people wanting a real New York experience.
I was a pleasure hosting Sascha while he stayed in Iceland. I do hope he comes again! :)
