We're a young couple - living between Sile and Emirgan in Istanbul. We have set up the Sile International House next to our family home to accommodate the needs of international students/academics visiting Sile.

it was a very pleasent stay in Kutlus home though during our stay gardening maintance where happening was a bit anoying and loud. The pool was rather nice and almost no naibors around. We as a family with three kids this was the right choice for a short trip. Very silent if you whant a Retreat and write or just whant complete silence during the week this is perfect location. Kutlu send us the instructions but only one person could read and understand english so would be good to have it in turkish too. The house is in a good condition but one or another chair in the rooms would be very usefull. Other than that very well equipt and you have evething you need also for a big family like 6 to 8 Person.
We had great time at Kutlu's villa! Absolutely gorgeous place and a great host. Villa and pool is more than the photos and offers you a memorable time. Very clean and you feel like home. Beach is very close as well. We definitely recommend the stay and will visit Sile again very soon.
Amazing time in a very relaxing place. Me and my entire family had a beautiful week there! Highly recommended!
Fantastic place for a quite and relaxed stay. I hardly visit a place twice but this place is already planned for us for 2014!
This was a very nice villa for a quiet family get together in Turkey. It was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. The pool at the complex was beautiful. Nice beaches and shopping was not a far drive.
The only drawback for me was the house being minimally furnished. There were no curtains, little furniture, few pots/pans and not many/poor quality towels. Overall we had a very nice time though.
The villa is really nice and spacious, a perfect place for our family trip to stay at. We also liked that Sile is not too touristic and you can make an easy daytrip to Istanbul for shopping and sightseeing, The beach is nearby and some our family even got lucky and did see some dolphins on the coast. Kutlu was offering great help with all questions and request. Thumbs up!
Lovely apartment in a nice, vibrant neighborhood. Very spacious, pretty and clean rooms. Functional and nice kitchen. Beautiful views of the Bosporus from the balcony. Great for four people with two separate bathrooms. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating.
All necessary services are right outside the front door: cafés and restaurants, supermarket, banks, taxi stop, public transport. The beautiful Emirgan Park is a great place for kids. It has nice play grounds, ducks and squirrels and of course loads of tulips.
The only inconvenience of the apartment is the distance from the city and the fact that there is only one morning ferry. Traveling by road is pretty awful and takes a very long time. If the city added a few more ferry connections to the center, this place would be unbeatable. Now, if you want to focus on visiting all the sights in the old city it's probably better to look for an accommodation there. But if you just want to enjoy a relaxed stay in beautiful surroundings and experience the hospitality of Istanbul and it's people then this is your perfect choice.
The house was beautiful, comfortable, and perfect for a multiple family get away. We had one of the most relaxing times we've had in a long time with some long time friends. The location is a little drive to Istanbul, but close enough to allow you to make a good day trip into the city. The surrounding area is beautiful, the people are friendly, and the neighborhood encourages you to just un-plug and relax. We only wish we had been there when it was warm enough to swim!
The villa was very nice with big and bright rooms. We felt comfortable from the beginning. The kitchen was well furnished with everything you need for cooking. The foodmarkets are close. We found some beautyful beaches just a short drive away from the villa. We enjoyed our hoiday and definately recommend the villa and the hosts.
Great to meet these guys and to share stories of Turkey and in particular Bodrum. We look forward to meeting again and can recommend them as excellent Airbnb guests
Meltem and his wonderful family were guests really appreciated.
Courteous, friendly and respectful of the house. I was enchanted by their beautiful little daughter! I highly recommend them as guests!
I hope to meet them again, maybe in Istanbul :)
We had a lovely holiday based in this beautiful, spacious apartment in the heart of Emirgan with bedding, linen, teas, books available and a huge verandah overlooking the cafes of Emirgan.
We took up many of Meltem's suggestions of what to do, as well as having our own plans (e.g the hammam in Uskador.) We particularly loved having breakfast in Cafe Nar and had breakfast at some other cafes as well - one in Yanikoy, Orga in Emirgan and at a bufe in Istanbul.
It was a pleasure to see the sights in Istanbul and in and around Emirgan - Ortakoy for the evening markets, Rumeli Hisari for Nar Cafe and the fortress of Europe, Yanikoy, Bebek. Istinye. We also enjoyed Emirgan, the museum with its major Monet exhibition, the gardens, the cafes and little shops and all the street vendors with their amazing selections of food.
The weather was perfect for sight-seeing, fair/warm, not too hot. It was also not crowded and we did very little queuing as we went in October and I would say that this is an ideal time to go. The tourist sights were not crowded but the cafes in Emirgan were crowded with Turkish people enjoying their holiday period, and all the fishermen along the banks of the Bosphorus. Very few tourists but lots of atmosphere created by people living and visiting there.
Meltem and Kutlu's apartment in Emirgan far exceeded the high expectations we had when choosing it online. From our first interactions with them to our arrival and throughout our stay, they made us feel welcome and helped make our week extremely pleasurable.
To say the apartment is gorgeous is an understatement. It is very well appointed- modern and comfortable. Despite the cool weather, we were also able to relax on one of the best verandas I have experienced, And waking up every day to a leafy view of the Bosphorus and the second bridge was unbelievable. Don't miss this place! 5 out of 5!
I stayed at the villa Meltem rents in July of 2011. From the moment I inquired about the availability, Meltem responded with alacrity and answered all of my questions in great detail. Everything about the renting experience was wonderful, from friendly emails exchanged before we arrived to detailed information about the villa and surrounding area to the hospitality we were met with when we showed up. I'd never rented a villa before, but the people I'd been with have rented many. I was in charge of finding us a place and the others I was with raved about what a super job I'd done- the villa was perfect for us and we left wishing we could stay a few more days. We've already talked about going back next summer. I wish Meltem had other properties in other places I like to vacation.
