Ciao a tutti, sono Alarico e vi aspetto in questa incantevole cornice, sarò felice di farvi conoscere tutte le meraviglie del Lago di Como! See you soon! :-)
The reward for managing the relatively daunting drive is more than offset by the spectacular views that greet you on arrival. We spent a wonderful two nights with Alarico at his B&B and really enjoyed the serenity of the location. The food in the Restaurant is also highly recommended and as a host Alarico was faultless. Sitting on the balcony overlooking Lake Como and watching life slowly drift by was a magical escape from the madness of everyday life!
We've spent one night in September by Alerico and his family. It was agroturismo for real! To reach the house first you must go a winding and steep road up the hill to get to the little church where you can park your car. We had a bigger luggage so we asked for the shuttle service offered. Alerico arrived with a tractor and a huge smile than drove us to the house with an amazing driving technique on the narrow road. This was big fun! By foot it takes not long neither. The house is perfectly situated on the hill with a breathtaking view from the rooms and the big terrace. You can also see the Villa Barbianello - and from the Villa we could discover also the farm.
We had the surprise dinner, which was really delicious and hearty made of ingredients produced by the family. The breakfast contained yoghurt, fruits and cakes made by the mother of Alerico. The room was clean and Alerico and his brother were very kind and the girls of the family prepared great food! If we return to Lake Como than we will surely come back, it was great!
Amazing location. So beautiful, quite magical really. The food in the restaurant was the best meals we had in Italy. Couldn't recommend it enough.
The place is really amazing, beautiful view on the lake, nice hosts and very nice final ride. We'll come back! I really recommend to spend a few days over there.
The localization of the house is a hard to find but it definitely worse it!! The view from this authentic farm is amazing. The breakfast included is nice and complete. Good value for money, I recommend!
This agritourismo was good. The owners are very nice, accommodations clean and comfortable. The views are incredible. Great place to stay if you want a quiet place on Lake Como. Far from the bigger cities and the buses are consistently late, but if you are looking for nature and quiet this is the place. There is a nice hiking trail, Strada Regia, to the center of Lezzeno. Be sure to arrive in Como in the afternoon because the buses stop running at 8 pm. We arrived late due to late trains and had to stay in a hostel on Como due to a Taxi ride costing 130 euro, and the buses had stopped running. Also it is good to have a cell phone to call them to come get you from the center of Lezzeno when you arrive because it is about a 30 min hike up. There is a public phone in piazza Roma but it was broken when we were there so we had to do the hike multiple times because we didn't have a cell. Again the owners are very nice and welcoming.
It is really hard to find, especially coming at night, but the view in the morning is spectacular!
My wife and I had a great time at the Farm House in Lake Como. It is nestled up in the mountains overlooking the lake, and is impossible to reach by car. We were able to park our rental car at a nearby church, and Alarico drove us to the farmhouse in his tractor. Our room was clean and comfortable, the best part being the balcony and extraordinary view of Lake Como. We ate at a restaurant nearby in Bellagio that serves the goat cheese from Alarico's farm, and bought some to take with us from the family's store just down the road. Breakfast was a traditional Italian breakfast--coffee, juice, delicious breakfast cakes, toasts and jam. We ate in the dining room, with windows overlooking the lake, but were told that in warmer weather, breakfast can be taken to the porch. We really enjoyed the short time we spent here. We would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Lake Como but not stay in the busy towns.
