Hello! My name is Jenny.I live in Athens,Greece.I love to meet interesting people and make them feel at home.
My life motto: Try to be positve, life is to short and precious for negativity! Smile it is contageous!!
We leaved 3 days in apartments Jenny, she met us and told about flat. There is all necessary for the life;) Internet, TV, kitchen, good bathroom ... And very comfortable that the apartments is close metro and centr of the city. We spent amazing time in the city and this cozy apartments.
A beautiful apartment, tastefully decorated, spotless, large, quiet and with everything you need. Two nice balconies, wifi and hot water always working perfectly. Also in a very convenient and central location, only a minute away from the subway. It couldn't have been better! A total recommend and thanks to the wonderful and caring host for a great time!
a short note on the neighbourhood, it might seem a bit rough to you when you are not used to it, but it really only looks like that. I was alone (female) and there was never any annoyance and I never felt the least threatened, also at night.
jenny was an amazing host with a great apartement. she was always available and and very eager to help. I would recommend anyone visiting athens to stay at her home
Highly recommended. A great, lively place with a great host.
Appartement well equipped, very comfortable and very clean only 100 meters from the metro station Victoria which is very close from the main attractions of the town. Jenny is a great host and a person full of enthusiasm! I thank her for ker kindness, for answering us and being present everytime we had a question and for her precious advices to visit Athens ! I recommand everybody to have a host like Jenny !
Had a wonderful stay at your place Jenny! Thank you for being so helpful and offering lots of advice on what to do in the area. Your apartment was really great and central to everything. We definitely recommend your place for others wanting to stay in Athens
The apartment was great to stay in, all the facilities were easy to use, and the air conditioner in the lounge room was fantastic during the heat wave! Jenny made everything very easy and welcoming. There are loads of cafes and supermarkets right nearby. The location is a bit of a walk to the centre, but it is right next to a great metro line and only a couple of stops from everything.
From the very first moment to the very last, we had a blast in Athens and it was much due to Jenny`s being an AMAZING host! She greeted us with an unprecedented warmth, and was helpful throughout our entire stay. She definitely surpasses the idea of airbnb and takes it to the extremes. In short, a great hostess in the purest sense.
The apartment as such is very comfortable and it looks exactly as in the pictures. The great think is that you can have a nice breakfast on the balcony and the living room could be closed and turned into another bedroom. We loved the apartment and would be happy to come back one day.
Trasportation-wise, it is 20m from a metro station, 1-2 stops to the center. All the shops are in the vicinity (a big mall just around the corner, parking as well). I would not recommend this location to girls traveling alone, although we had no problems at all.
In a nutshell, a stay of our life, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH Jenny!!!
Nice Host . nice place , big and comfortable apartment , perfect place for sleeping and then go out for tourism , good appliances .
very bad area for walking in the night and mostly in the park next to the building , full of emigrants from africa and asia . not nice neighborhood. no supermarkets close by .
Jenny is an open, friendly and warm person who loves to smile and bring out the best in people. I may be her friend but I’ve also had the experience of being her guest and I can say she is a wonderful host. She is immaculately clean and pays a lot of attention to detail. In fact, she LOVES to clean and make things look nice and orderly. The great thing about Jenny is her enthusiasm. She truly loves living in the center of Athens and loves Greece so she’ll always be happy to suggest the best places to go or to help accommodate your specific needs to ensure you have the best stay.
The apartment is the most center of the city you can get. If you stay in Victoria Square you will truly have an authentic, modern day feel of what Athens is about. At one point, this address was considered the most posh in the city. Walk around and you’ll see there are old neo-classical homes and historic buildings, some in disarray but some kept quite nicely. No one can argue it is a very historic neighborhood. Today, it still has some of this old Athens community but many immigrants as well.
As a tourist, Jenny’s apartment is a great bargain. It is right next to the Victoria metro which connects you in a matter of one or two stops to the most popular spots to visit in the city including the Acropolis, Monastiraki, Thisseio, Syntagma and Kolonaki (Evangelismos). Victoria metro also takes you straight to the port of Piraeus in 25 minutes (no change of line). From Piraeus you can take a ferry to one of Greece’s beautiful islands. It’s the most convenient and economical way (1.40 Euro) to catch your ferry!
The square has open air cafes, one of the oldest and BEST souvlakia places in Athens (Sophias) and near one of the city’s largest parks called Pedio tou Areos which is great for running or walking. It is a five minute walk away from Patission Street, which is full of shops, several movie theatres and the street is famous for its small Greek theatres.
Right around the corner from Jenny’s apartment is the best bougatsa (traditional Greek cream pie) shop in the city, a fresh bakery where you can get fresh baked Greek pies and breads for breakfast, a large supermarket (Carrefour), several pharmacies, a fresh fruit and vegetable shop and a wine shop.
I highly recommend Jenny and her flat. She is a fantastic host and very accommodating and caring. If you choose her place, you’ll have a truly memorable and authentic stay right in the heart of the one of the oldest cities in the world!
Jenny is a very good friend , is the kind of friendship that last for years. She is very communicative and careful with the words so you will not get insulted. She has a very nice appartment in the center of Athens , i always feel comfortable at her place, and when i am in the center its a "must stop" to take a breath from the strees of the city (the apt is very well located , and is near everywere in the center).
Victoria ,especially HEYDEN str was famous among Greeks for the expensive and well design 1960s apartments, Heyden str has buildings from famous architects like PICIONIS and COSTANTINIDIS ,both architects respected greek nature and left behind a unique tradicional work.
Today Victoria has lost the glam of 1960 and 1970 but still an area with "a thin air from the past", its a safe multicultural area (yes there are immigrands with their families in a peacefull reletionship with everybody ,you see getos are the problem and Victoria thank god is not!),i never felt that i am in danger, even when there were riots in the center of Athens.
Parking is a bit of a problem but there are 3 private parking places with very reasonable prices
Jenny lives in that area years, and she has very good reletionship with neighbors.
She will always try to make you feel comfortable .The only thing she hates is descrimination injustice and spicy plates at dinners.
If you are to stay at her place then you have a very good host!
