We had a very pleasant stay at the B&B of Herve. The rooms were perfect for us as cyclists for resting. Although the rooms were not brand new they suited us. Herve was a good host. He remains on the background so you can enjoy your time at the pool with the most amazing view. Breakfast is basic but fine for most i guess. We enjoyed the fact that we were even allowed to use a fridge and bbq our own stuff near the pool
Herve's farm and bed and breakfast are in a beautiful, rather remote location surrounded by vineyards and other farmland. He was nice, very flexible about check-in and check-out and gave us a quick tour, and kindly let us come back later in the afternoon after we had checked out to swim in the gorgeous pool, which was really a highlight of our trip. There are comfy lounges by the pool, too. The room is in an old building so it's a bit rustic with low ceilings. It got a bit hot with no a/c but it is so quiet that leaving window open was no problem. There are no locks on the doors. Although we didn't feel unsafe, some other people staying there did walk in on us sleeping by mistake! Breakfast was nice-- hot milk in a thermos for coffee/tea and a bunch of fresh baguettes, butter, jam, and grapes I assume from his vineyard. It's a farm in rural Provence, so if you don't expect too much glamour, you'll really enjoy staying here.
Merci beaucoup!
Although we only spent one night in Mazan, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Though a tad shy, Herve was a very nice host who provided us with a clean and cosy room and a generous French breakfast. The view of the surrounding vineyards from the swimming pool was worth the stay alone.

This AirBnB is located in a gorgeous area surrounded by vineyards and located just southeast of Gigondas and Vacqueyras and east of the larger cities/towns of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Avignon, and Orange. Upon arrival, the listing was not the easiest to find, having had to retrace ourselves several times and ask pedestrians in Mazan the direction of the street on which the AirBnB is listed. There property holds a country vibe with the owner having several chickens and bantams as well as several cats. The rooms in which our group stayed were well prepared and comfortable. Hot water was a constant while showering and one felt quite comfortable on the premise. A large breakfast was pleasantly found the next morning with hot milk, coffee, cocoa, several baguettes, apricot marmalade, butter, apples, and oranges. A very nice surprise was an orange juicer, as well, that had been provided with which one could make freshly squeezed orange juice. Herve provided a map of the area which proved to be helpful. Our party was desperately needing Wifi or an internet connection. There were two signals, one with no password which did not function, and the second with a secured password which, we were told, did not require the said password. Frustratingly, no internet connection was acquired. As well, there was confusion in billing for the number of our party. Upon booking, it was believed there would be a flat fee for the one night. In reality, due to needing one more bed, we ended up having to pay more.
Overall, I recommend this AirBnB for its location and nice rooms, comfortable beds, bathrooms, and breakfast.
This is an okay place to stay in Mazan. It's not a fancy hotel - you are definitely staying on a farm. The hosts were nice and generous. The area and yard weren't immaculately kept, but since it's the "farm experience", it didn't matter a lot to us. We had a great time in the surrounding area!
