This booking was made on behalf of clients and Jessica instantly made me feel at ease about the whole procedure. She was understanding of the situation, offered breakfast options and daily cleaning at the apartment. The apartment is very beautifully decorated and suited my European clients down to a T. I think they were a bit disappointed not to be able to use the hot tub as much as they would have liked due to some technical issues with it, but Jessica's help throughout was great.
Staying at Jessica's was pretty awesome. Both checking in and out was seamless even though our arrival time changed. Alex was there to welcome us and give us the lay of the land. Having not been in Cape Town in just over a decade it was great to get familiar in such a short time. I would recommend this airbnb to new and repeat Cape Town visitors. Gardens is the s***!
Thank you so much. It was so lovely to have you stay with us. We were happy to accommodate you and glad you enjoyed your stay in Cape Town!
Blue room was amazing, spacious and filled with natural light from the skylight and courtyard. Large bathroom with luxurious bath! House is very well stocked with full kitchen (incl Nespresso machine) and lounge available. Parking on the street was safe and the location was great for exploring Kloof street, town centre and Table Mountain. Jessica and the team made us feel very welcome. Thanks.
Everybody involved was utterly charming and very sweet.
We were very happy with the accommodations at the charming home on a lovely, quiet street in Cape Town.
After getting somewhat lost on our way, we called Alex and he was already at the house. He provided directions. When we arrived, Alex greeted us and showed us around. The kitchen was stocked with staples such as milk, juice and bread plus some “goodies”: cookies, chocolates and wine!
The open plan house is very comfortable; the bedrooms have air conditioning; they are situated at opposite sides of the house allowing each couple a bit of privacy. In the lounge/ living room, there is a large flat screen TV (it replaced a large art piece over the sofa in the photos). The kitchen was well equipped. Having a laundry was wonderful as we had been traveling for five days and needed some fresh clothing. Ask Alex if there is enough electric on the meter for your stay (he added some for us).
The back wall of the house is made up of windows looking out onto the patio. The view is beautiful and calming.
The street parking was easy and felt safe. We saw a security guard several times.
The house is very close to some restaurants serving delicious food: Manna, Café Paradiso, The Black Sheep. Also within walking distance is a large supermarket (Checkers), a pharmacy and a wine store. Melissa’s, a gourmet food store, is also nearby.
During our stay Alex visited a couple of times and cleaned the house. He is very kind and friendly. We did not meet Jessica, but emailed her and spoke with her by phone a couple of times and she was helpful.
This house is clean, well situated, well equipped and safe. We enjoyed our stay here very much.
What a wonderful house!! Who needs a sea view if you have this? This house is perfectly located and stylishly decorated and most of all incredibly central!!
We had a magnificent time at this property and will gladly book and recommend it. The host is equally great! We spent some time in CPT post our wedding with family from abroad and Jessica left us a bottle of Bubbly to welcome us although being complete strangers and paying guests. This was not needed but it was such a nice welcoming touch and shows Jessica's attention to detail in her house!
Sound like I am selling this house, but really teh location is great and rivals the over priced Sea Views of Clifton and Campsbay. Kloof Street boutiques and eateries awaits you as you walk from the front door down Kloof Street towards Longstreet (Both of which form the heart of trendy-cool downtown Cape Town) On Kloof Street alone you can hop on the MYCiti Bus that covers all areas of Cape Town and drops you home again. Alternatively a taxi is just a 200m walk away.
We will be back for sure!!!
Unbelievable! Such a perfect place!!!!!
We were speechless,as we entered!
A dream comes true!
This App. is perfectly locacted, perfectly decorated, perfectly resourced..... Just wow!!!!!!
And altough Jessica(the Host) was not there to welcome us: she organized everthing to give us the perfect feeling of "being welcome"!!!(thank you Jessica!thank you Alex!!!)
Def. Again and again and again!!!!!!! just wow!!!! We'd like to stay there forever!!!!!!!!highly recommended!!!!
We enjoyed our 10 day stay at this well equipped, centrally located charming home.
Two en suites separated by a common space is ideal for two couples.
For us the short walking distance (5 minutes) to good food, coffee and vanilla chai smoothies was great! On Street parking is easy in the front of the home and of course the access to Table Mountain, beaches and all that Cape Town has to offer really makes this home the ideal place stay!
Thank you Jessica and Alex for being great hosts! You make a good team! :-)
We loved our stay at this house and reminded us a lot of our own house. Jessica was always there to assist whenever we needed her assistance and is a great host. There is no doubt that we will return to this beautiful family home. Thank you Jessica.
We stayed at 12 Hofmeyr Street for a few days during August this year. Jessica was a great hostess. She welcomed us with a list of things to see and do (we didn’t have time to get around to everything!). We had asked her to reserve some restaurants for us before we arrived and not only had she done so, but her choices were excellent. She also arranged for us to be picked up from the airport. The house itself is fantastic. If anything, it looks better than it does in the pictures. It is funky and beautifully maintained and has everything you might need, including a very good WiFi connection. There was milk in the fridge and lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Alex the housekeeper came in to service the house every weekday. He was charming and answered all our questions about the house (and some others about the area). We also enjoyed where the house was located - in a quiet street just off Kloof Street, which is full of little restaurants and quirky shops. It was very central and we felt very safe in the house (we were a bit concerned about safety, having heard all kinds of things about South Africa). The street is patrolled by a security company and we felt completely at ease throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this property, even more so if you plan to spend a long time in Cape Town. We were very sad to leave.
We LOVED hosting Jessica and Philippe. Our only regret is that we didn't get to the chance to have them up to the house for dinner while they were here. They are a charming couple, who took wonderful care of our studio. We hope to visit them in Cape Town or host them again in San Francisco soon!
Great to meet you both...
Jessica stayed with us for a few days in July 2012. She is an absolutely delightful guest - charming, relaxed, tidy and punctual. We had some great moments together and remember the delicious Meringues she made for us! We were sad to see here leave and hope to see here again.
