Chilled New Yorker.
We had a pleasant stay in Sofia's apartment. It's simple and clean, with a great hot shower and stable wifi. The bed was also neatly made up when we arrived. For us it was a good base for exploring New York, especially since it is conveniently located 1 block away from an F-line subway station. One thing to note is that it was quite cold during our stay (around -8 Celcius all week), and the heater had some trouble warming up the whole room. Especially the floor stayed fairly cold, so bring some warm socks!
We revisited New York after many years and this was perfect for us. The location is great and the apartment is very cosy and has everything we need. In spite of the very cold weather at the time of our stay we manged to keep the place warm. The fact that the subway is a block away is also very helpful. At times we would have liked to have a little more contact with Sofia but she was always there when we needed. Wonderful place, all in all.
I had a fantastic time staying at Sofias Apartment for the Christmas week. The Apartment is very cosy and the location is just perfect to explore New York. Sofia was very helpful and I would come back to stay here anytime.
We had a great stay at Sofia's. The apartment is in a good location and right near a Subway stop (F line). It's easy to get everywhere and you feel like a real New Yorker as its away from the main tourist attractions. The weather was freezing when we stayed but the apartment was warm and cosy. I would definitely recommend the place to a couple on a long weekend.
We had a great stay at Sofia's flat. The location is very good, 3 min walk to the metro station (F line), from where we can get to Times Square in 20 min. To the south side, in one stop we are in Brooklyn and with an 10 min walk in the Brooklyn Bridge towards Manhattan.
The apartment was very clean and cosy, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom has all the conditions needed. I would only add a microwave to warm up the food a little faster :)
We always felt safe in the neighborhood and there are good restaurants nearby at low price (try the dumplings in a small restaurant in Essex St and you won't regret it).
We highly recommend Sofia's apartment for a short stay in NYC.
We stayed at Sofia's place for 5 days end of November and it was great. The apt is in a great location in the LES, walking distance to a ton of bars and very good restaurants. There is also a subway stop 2 mins walking which makes things a lot easier.
The apt itself was great. Heater worked well, nice small studio. Sofia left us notes everywhere to help us get around the place and also left us a couple books on new york which was nice. She was also extremely helpful. The day we arrived, all places around her were closed (Thanksgiving evening) so she arranged for us to pick up the keys at her friends.
I read some reviews about the noise and I have to say, the street itself is not extremely busy (it's very quiet at night) and so the noise was not a problem for us.
Overall, I would definitely recommend staying there. We really enjoyed it.
We had a great stay in Sofia's apartment! She was very accommodating and easy to get ahold of! The apartment ha everything you need for a nice trip to NYC, and the location was perfect, really close to Chinatown, little Italy and Williamsburg!
We stayed at Sofia's apartment for a week mid-November and have no complaints. The apartment was clean and we had everything we needed. It is not very big but we mainly used it to sleep in - New York has so many things to offer that you don't want to waste time in an apartment! Sofia answered all mails before and during our stay, and she had explained how to get the key from a laundromat close by. This was no problem at all. Internet connection worked very well and so did the heater which was necessary as it got very cold during the week! The neighborhood is quiet but you don't have to go far to find lots of bars and restaurants. For breakfast, go to the classic coffee shop on Hester St. Very original and cheap!
We stayed almost 10 days in sofia's appartment and it was greater than we thought it could be. Very good situation, in soho in 15-20 minutes by foot, 20 min from downtown wall street, bleecker st. (Nice street for shopping), good chinese fast food just a block away from the appartment, and 15 away from the best breakfast in NY (clinton st.)
We had a excellent time at sofia's, she was very helpful at our arrival even so we got there late, and always reachable every time we needed her.
The appartment is nice, clean, well heated.
The only negatives points we found were: there are no blackout curtains and it's a bit noisy so prepare yourself to be waked up at 7am everyday.
In a few words if we go back to NY one day we would love to come back at sofia's.
The place is located right on the edge of Chinatown and has a very convenient train station about 2 min walk from the apartment. Getting round was really easy. If you're interested in heading to Brooklyn, the place is nicely situated just across Williamsburg Bridge.
The studio apartment was nice and cozy and Sofia was always responsive and helpful. I'd recommend this to individuals or a couple looking to spend some time in NY.
Sophia was an excellent guest. I did not get to meet them but she was very east to work with on the booking and left the place very tidy. I would have her anytime.
Awesome folks, friendly. we have a lot in common.
Sofia and her boyfriend Anton are a very nice young couple, very easygoing and nice to have around. I would definitely recommend hosting them.
Sofia and Anton were great guests! Very respectful and easygoing. We only hosted them for one night, but it was enough to know we can recommend them 100%. Guys, you're welcome back anytime!
Sofia came with a friend and they were away most of the time, but she was very pleasant. However, she didn't enjoy dog company specially Tyson, my Weimaraner which likes to greet guests with a hug. This is why I put pictures of my dogs. I prefer dog lovers and persons not afraid of big dogs.
