Honey was very welcoming, very helpful with providing information about the area and London in general, and very respectful of my personal space while living in her home! Overall an amazing host!! The room was very spacious, lovely to stay in! And of course the area, around Portobello and Notting Hill, is amazing with so many places to explore!
Honey was a great host and was very helpful to a first timer in london. The room was just enough space and the neighborhood was great and easy to get to any other part of London.
You just must really really really love dogs if you are going to stay there and she makes that known before you book so if you can be annoyed at all by a high energy pet this isnt the place for you.
My mum had a positive stay - Honey was a lovely host and made my mum feel at home. The dogs didn't enter the bedroom which was another positive. However room in the photos looked larger than in real, it was a tiny room. The bed was a bit wobbly but it was clean. The bathroom
And bedroom couldn't be locked though. The noise from ladbroke grove in combination with the hot weather (windows open) made it difficult to sleep. By the way, the appt isn't situated as located on the AirBnB map - it was more up north on ladbroke grove. All in all a good stay with a lovely and helpful host although this place is probably more suitable for younger people.
Honey is great - super helpful, welcoming, and friendly. The room is comfy and cozy - small but has everything one needs. Honey's flat is in a great location. It's only a short walk to Portobello and the tube.
My stay at Honey's place was very short but very good. I only stayed 3 nights there and although I barely had a chance to get to know her or chat for more than 5 minutes a day (or even thank her in person :P), I can say she's really nice and tries to make you feel comfortable while staying at her home.
Something important to note is that she has two huge -and lovely- dogs, I'm a dog lover so I didn't mind at all but you should take this into account if you're not a dog fan.
The room has everything you need: a comfortable bed, a small closet, a desk and a mirror (although it is kind of difficult to use it because it's hanging on the wall on top of the bed - as seen in the picture). The bathroom is small but clean. There's a lot of light coming into the room in the morning, even though there are curtains, you're probably going to be awake -if you're lucky enough like me, to have two sunny days in London, in a row- by 6am because of the sunlight (in spring-summer). Also, it's kind of noisy at night, but I'm not a light sleeper so it didn't actually bother me.
I didn't get to know the neighborhood that much, but at first sight I didn't really love it :s On the plus side, you've got Portobello Market very near, and a lot of cute restaurants and shops are 5 mins away in any of the buses.
If you're going to visit the city and basically use the room to sleep and shower like I did, it is actually a perfect choice.
Honey and Jamie are very nice host!
They are very kindly and you can ask her whatever.
The room is comfortable. The bath is small but clean.
The street is very noisy during the night.
The flat is in a great locations. the tube station is 7-10 min walk and a bus to Victoria (52) which operate 24 hours!
They have two dogs, that are really nice.
I have never used the kitchen but if I had wanted to use I would have done.
Honey's place is pretty centrally located in the city with easy access to the tube, not to speak of access to 6 different bus routes - 2 of which operate 24 hours! On top of that, there's a taxi company that operates right next door to her flat. I had such an easy time getting around and that was a major plus for me.
The flat is a few blocks away from Portobello Road in Notting Hill and I had a blast spending the day at the open market just down the street on Saturday. There are also a couple of cafes and supermarkets close by so it was really convenient for picking up a few essentials.
The bedroom and the bathroom are a little tight but well worth it considering the cost and location. You also get a nice view of the main street from the bedroom which is fun.
Honey was lovely and accommodating and made sure that I had access to all the amenities I needed.
Perfect location to see London! So close to public transit and to beautiful Portobello Market. Honey was a great host and her patio was really enjoyable! I would recommend staying at Honey's apartment while visiting London.
Honey is a great, very friendly and helpful host.
The room location, is in one of the best locations in London, it is calm but still centrally located, I walked to many of the more busy areas around town.
Honey is a very nice host. I got to meet her when I first check in the 1st day!
Her apt is next to the main street and it's 10-15 mins walk to the closest tube station. There are some bus lines to her place too. pretty convenient but tube is much better because the bus normally stuck in traffic jams in London especially leaving from Victoria station.
Remember to bring ear plug if you are light sleepers. Also, the shower is pretty cute & small so if you are a big guy you might have to squeeze in. The bed is really soft as I prefer harder beds =)
Overall, I would recommend this place.
Honey is very welcoming and her home is clean, spacious with a lovely balcony to relax on.
Perfect location for Portobello Rd Market, with its wonderful shops and stalls. Very near Central, district and Circle LIne stations and good bus service. There is also an array of wonderful restaurants.
Honey is a close friend of mine and she's a lovely person to be around. Her apartment is in a brilliant location, a walk away from the infamous portobello rd and all it's cool restaurants, bars and markets. Her place is lovely, tidy and she's a great host as she knows the local area so well. I'd recommend her place to anyone heading to London!
