Exactly as described. Very nice apartment. Central. Definitely worth a stay.
The apartment of Karoline Raeder is small but very comfortabel. We enyojed staying so in the center of Berlin. Nicolaiviertel is a very quiet place in between the hectic city. Karoline and Jan, thanks!
This is a lovely apartment in a very convenient location. There is shopping and transport nearby, and the Museum Island is a five-minute walk along the river away. Karoline's apartment is welcoming, and very quiet in the evenings. There is no elevator, and the stairs can be a bit of a trek, which will not be a problem for most, but it is worth knowing ahead of time.
A nice flat in a very good location in Berlin.
Aera and neigbourhood very quiet.
Close 5-10 minutes by foot from the metro station or AlexanderPlatz.
We'll enjoy this place and Karolina was nice if we need anything.
great location, very good apartment.
we had fantastic week in berlin.
viele danke Karoline!

Karoline's apartment is lovely; warm, comfortable, very central and has quiet neighbours. We walked most places, but used our 72 hour travel tickets too - purchased at the airport for about 25 euros. Thoroughly recommend a stay with Karoline Only drawback is 6 floors up and no lift - good exercise !
My girlfriend and I spent a week at Karoline's apartment over the Christmas holidays, and we can honestly say we could not have hoped for a more perfect place to stay, or a more perfect host! Karoline was very prompt in emailing us and responding to any questions we had, and was very informative and helpful in answering questions covering the apartment and local amenities, and even left us some food to eat in her kitchen!
The location of the apartment was fantastic too. We purchased five-day travelcards during our stay, and realised that we basically didn't even need them, as Alexanderplatz is within an hour's walking distance to many major attractions, restaurants, shops etc. The closest train station is a fairly major station and therefore nearly anywhere else you do want to go is just a few stops away on the S-bahn/U-bahn. The apartment block itself is tucked away around the corner of Alexanderplatz, and it's so quiet and picturesque there you almost forget that one of Berlin's central hubs is just a couple of hundred metres away!
Finally, the apartment itself was just brilliant. A beautiful maisonette, we had everything we needed for our week's stay. Facilities were great, and the kitchen had everything we wanted to cook some great meals (saving on eating out regularly). We loved spending time there and unwinding in the evenings after a busy day in the city... something that's always felt a little unnatural in a hotel room.
We love Berlin and will undoubtedly return in the near future. When we do, we will definitely be contacting Karoline about staying at her place again.
Very nice apartment, exactly as shown in the photos, or maybe even better than it appears from the photos! Quiet building, very comfortable place to relax, cook, hang out, etc, etc. Karoline and Jan were extremely nice and very easy to work with. The area around the apartment is a good one for tourism-- centrally located, close to many museums, and public transportation. Plus, the river is a beautiful spot. If you're going to book an extended stay here, make sure to ask about closet space ahead of time. This is a common issue with Airbnb places, of course, is that the apartments and houses are lived in and retain many of the owners' personal items, clothes and so on. So not an unusual or uncomfortable issue, just something to keep an eye out for. We mounted a portable closet from Ikea and were all set. Overall, we give it our highest recommendation.
