Recently moved to Cochrane from Montreal. For almost two years, I hosted many guests in Montreal. Read about their experiences in the reviews.
I'm looking for respectful and clean guests.
Looking forward to have you over!

Mark is a great host . We had a great time getting to know mark and were very at home .
We hope to see Mark again in the near future.
Mark's home was perfect for what I needed! He was only there my first day, but was a very welcoming host, even though I arrived a bit earlier than my expected time! He made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. He had a Cochrane map available and showed me where to go for groceries and other goods as well as the walking trails. This was my first airbnb experience and it was a great experience!
Pros: Nice clean house, quiet neighbourhood, mountain view from living room, easy to get in and out of the house (even as you arrive with no key and the host isn't home), breakfast included, private bathroom with 1 towel and soap/shampoo/conditioner/lotion provided, lots of storage and closet space.
Cons: No street parking, mattress is slightly uncomfortable, neighbourhood is still in construction (so has the potential to not be so quiet).
Mark was wonderful when I was inquiring a bout his list in. He is very responsive, resourceful and reliable. When my flight was delayed and then cancelled until I was able to get a flight the day after, Mark was very understandable and was able to refund me a day's rate. His home is very clean, inviting and accommodating. I felt right at home to the parking accommodations and mass of informational brochures he left. I thoroughly enjoyed my atay and will definitely come back for a longer stay in Alberta. Thanks Mark!!
Mark's place was a new townhouse in a new estate not too far from town. The bedroom was comfortable with everything we needed with a private bathroom with all the amenities of a hotel.
Mark was very welcoming and made us feel at home. He was very accommodating with providing bits and pieces for breakfast, and juices and milks which was great!
Mark was a great host! Accommodated to our travels because our flight was delayed and arrived late into the night. Mark had a few brochures for Alberta and Cochrane for reference, and he also provided us a welcome note that included all the necessities to life -- the wifi password.
He offered a small selection of snacks we could munch on and allowed us to use the common spaces to cook our own dinners to eat at the dining table. Feel free to contact him at anytime because he's very responsive and always willing to help.
The neighborhood is a quiet little community right off the 22 consisting of townhomes and individual houses as well. Very safe and kid friendly neighborhood not too far from a private school. At the moment of our stay, construction is going on and new housing development is going on across the street so mornings may be a little noisy but bearable.
The description is dead on! ~1-1.5 hours away from Banff + Lake Louise and about 20-30 mins from most of Calgary, the local Walmart is not too far on Centre Ave. There are a few grocery stores nearby if you want to shop elsewhere, but the closest Real Canadian grocery store is in Calgary.
Would be great to stay in a beautiful place like his any time!
Mark was not there the time I was there. But his house was really nice, clean and by the confidence he gave me, I felt very at home.
Mark is a very friendly person. We enjoyed talking to him! He is also a very generous, kind, and thoughtful host. He offered to pick us up from the airport after knowing that we would not have a rental car ready by our arrival time. He even drove us to get our groceries that evening. The next day, he sent us downtown to get our car. How nice! He also made sure that we always had enough bread to eat for breakfast. Thank you Mark! :)
As for the house, it really is spacious and beautiful! We were amazed by the cleanliness of his house. Our room and our private bathroom was set up like a hotel's. Mark's house is a great alternative to staying in a city. It was an easy drive to Banff and Jasper. We absolutely enjoyed our stay!
Mark is one of the cleanest hosts I've ever met. His house is spotless, the bathroom is immaculate, and he goes out of his way to help you get settled in. He picked me up from the C-train station and offered numerous times to give me a ride to the shops. If you are an outdoorsy type, this place is also lovely because there are several nature trails to explore. The only thing to take note of is that public transportation is virtually non-existent in Cochrane so it's best to have a car (or know how to drive, at least) if you don't want to be limited to the downtown core or its immediate vicinity.
Great experience, host very flexible and helpful. New townhouse with great view. Close to town.
Hosting Mark and his family who is from Belgium was a pleasure. Mark is a wonderful guy who takes a time off and show his family around beautiful B.C. Choosing Smith Creek B and B for his family to stay is very much appreciated.
Mark and family were great guests to have. They were very flexible as 2 of there party had to stay a b and b down the road and seemed to be happy with that. They were very pleasant and polite to be around. We love having guests like this!!
We enjoyed meeting and hosting Mark and his family. They were very easy to talk with and left the house in great shape. Sorry they couldn't stay longer!
Being a host himself, Mark was easy to deal with and was a terrific guest. Recommended!
A wonderful guest all around. Left him alone in the home and had absolutely no worries. Look forward to having you here soon!
It was truly a pleasure hosting Mark again and we’re thrilled that he chose one of our places for his trip to Tremblant with his parents. The place was impeccably clean upon departure, even the fireplace was cleaned out after use! Communication with Mark was always easy and clear. Model guests! It is once more without hesitation that I recommend Mark, and his family, to the Airbnb community!
Highly recommended as a guest and I trust he’s as good of a host as well. Mark stayed with us during a busy time where back-up travel routes and times had to be planned. He was very understanding, accommodating and very easy to deal with. We would more than welcome the opportunity to host him again.
Mark was my neighbor in Atlanta for a number of months -- a fantastic guy and lots of fun to hang out with. (And he's a pilot!). Mark is also the consummate host: he is incredibly respectful and always wants to make guests in his apartment comfortable and make sure they have a good time!
Mark Cossement is one of the most good-natured people I know, and loves an adventure. He combines polished, Old World manners with a real sense of fun. I met him at a friend's dinner party about five years ago. He was a guest at my house in Athens, GA when he came up for the Criterium bike race in downtown Athens, one of those great sporting events that covers for a big nighttime drinking event. I am hard-put to express the high regard I have of Mark. If you host him, or you are his guest, you will be in for a real treat.
Mark is a very friendly and clean person.
He showed me all the nice places of the city.
He's apartment is definitely a good idea.
