I am an ex aerospace engineer who runs his own bed and breakfast in Montreal...
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Voici un lieu dans Montréal ou il fait bon dormir et petit-déjeuner.
Chambres spacieuses ,accueil fort sympathique,et petit déj de rêves servis dans une joli pièce au" regards " d'antan.
We were in Montreal with the primary purpose of visiting McGill with our daughter. She sat in on classes and we attended the tour and information sessions. Ian's Bed and Breakfast is ideally located. Within a few hours, our daughter was independent and walked around on her own to go to class or meet us. The room is comfortable, with a small kitchen to warm up or prepare simple meals; the street is very quiet. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Our friends and we wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving and warm up food for more people than a kitchenette could accommodate. Ian kindly offered us to use the large breakfast kitchen. It was perfect. We had our car and booked a spot in the garage but we observed that street parking was not as hard as we had imagined. However, for those who need to use their car during their stay, the garage offers peace of mind as some times during the day seem to offer limited parking opportunity.
Great location and spacious for two. Delicious breakfast and very welcoming.
This is a beautiful place right next to the McGill campus. I had no trouble finding it (just a few blocks from a metro station), and the rooms were clean and cozy. Fantastic breakfast, with the famous Montreal bagels! This is a beautiful place to stay, and I definitely recommend it! The neighborhood is great too -- studenty, but close to downtown.
I really wish I had more time to get to know him because he was a fascinating person. He is an open-minded guy with whom you can talk about simply anything.
