I stayed at Olivia's with my dad and brother for four days with the occasion of my birthday. I had been to Paris a few times before but never had the pleasure of staying in the St Germain des Prés area.
Staying at Olivia's flat means staying at the heart of Paris. Not only it is superbly located, it also sits in a most quiet, and quaint pedestrian street. Only a few minutes walk to the Louvre, Notre Damme, Musee d'orsay or Le Marais historic district to name only a few of the gems sitting close to Olivia's.
Which means you'll probably find yourself barely using the public transport, since what's regarded as the 'true' Paris its literally on your doorstep when you stay at Olivia's. Said that, if you need to take the underground, St Germain de Pres station is just two minutes away, and it's only a 15 minute ride straight to Gare Du Nord for example.
Last but not least, the beautiful Parisian view the flat offers to whoever decides to stay at this flat. The zinc roofs of St Germain de Pres were always a treat to contemplate, first thing in the morning, also last thing before going to bed.
In day or night, Autumn or Summer, I would greatly recommend Olivia's flat to anyone wishing for a pleasant time in The City of Light.
Our stay at Olivia's apartment was unforgettable! She was so kind to organize for us early check-in and late check-out!
And concerning apartment… Such an artistic flat full of great ambiance! Had an amazing time with my friends enjoying terrace, view and the-most-relaxing-sofa-in-the-world !
Worth to mention that this building is equipped with an elevator though a tiny one but enough to place all the luggage we had.
One of the best weekends I had this summer so far. Olivia, thanks for a huge contribution to this!
Hugs and kisses
My partner and I had a great time staying at Olivia's place. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the area nice and quiet. Olivia was kind enough to leave a few essentials like milk, bread and juice which was a nice touch as well as a summary of the best places to eat & drink.. Also the shower is really good, which is important after lots of travel.
One great thing about the apartment, is it is well located near plenty of bistro's, cafe's and really good restaurants and if you want to do some shopping, it's a 10 minute stroll to all the good shops.
Overall, Olivia is a great host and she also made the time to say hello before we left.

I had the same experience that Carol. The amenities for Olivia´s apartment included an elevator. She told us till the last minute that the elevator was installed and it will be working. We would not have rented her apartment if we had known this fact in advanced. We also are people in our 60´s and do not want to climb 5 flights every time you want to go out. Reading Carol´s experience we ask her in advance and she arranged a guy to help us with suitcases. But promised that the elevator would be working. It was NOT.
Besides, when we arrived, we have NO PLACE, or closet available for our clothes, except two tiny shelves. How did she think we were able to manage? keep our stuff for 6 days in the suitcases!
These two issues really make us very angry specially because the most important thing I value from a host is her/his responsibility in describing the facilities. It was not the case. So, we decided to leave the apartment immediately. She was not able to reach that night, and never replaided my mails.
The apartment was nice and in a good location, but I regret this experience, my first bad one with the system. So, be careful in reading the amenities and what is offered, just not to have a similar situation!
Perfect location! The apt was close to everything. It was very spacious and fit three people comfortably. I recommend this apt.
This apartment is in a wonderful area of Paris, with lots of restaurants and galleries nearby. It is very close to 2 Metro stops and sort of close to another. It's convenient to lots of buses, too. It's on a quiet street just a block or so from lively areas so generally very quiet. The apartment has a small functional kitchen but if you are short you will have a hard time reaching the dishes. As is common in lots of places the WC is a separate room, and since the door opens inward it is very cozy. Think a small public restroom stall. There are large windows in the living room and bedroom and lots of light and plenty of hot water. Nice views out over the rooftops nearby. There are tons of books and interesting artwork. Ms. Mauriac is from quite a distinguished French family. The airbnb amenities for this apartment showed that there is an elevator. As of June 4, there IS an elevator installed in the building but it is NOT yet functional. We would not have known this if we hadn't asked specifically about it just before leaving. After asking about it we were assured that the lift would be working by the second day we were there. We were there 8 days and it was still not working at the end. I'm sure they have to wait for an inspection or something. Who knows how long that will take?! We are 60+ and can climb 5 flights of stairs but didn't really want to do that several times a day. We especially didn't want to schlep suitcases up and down, And, if we had NOT been able to climb stairs we would have been screwed. We thought of it as an "aspirational" elevator. It was very annoying to not have received the amenities we believed were available, especially since we passed up several less expensive apartments, on lower floors, in other buildings without elevators to take this one. We will ask lots more questions another time! The apartment could use a good scrubbing and some fresh paint, but overall it was a nice place to be for more than a week in Paris. If you plan to rent this in 2013 we would suggest you verify the function of the elevator before renting if having a lift is important to you. There are 90+ stairs!
A lovely flat in the heart of Paris couldn't be more true. I had the pleasure of staying at Olivia's flat and it was perfect. Everything was true to pictures and as advertised. There were lots of great restaurants and shops close by. (check out Fish La Boissonnerie) Being centrally located in the city made it very easy to get around to all of the sights. Even better, its located down a very quite street so you don't have any noise at night. Olivia is a great host who made us feel very welcome and I would highly recommend anyone traveling to Paris to book her place!
We had a wonderful experience staying at Olivia's apartment. Her place was charming, very clean, and was exactly as described. The balcony was an added bonus, looking out into an old Paris street. It was super quiet, but in a perfect location, so close to the metro, and many of the neighborhoods you would want to visit.
Olivia couldn't have been a better host. She was warm, welcoming, friendly, and answered all all of our questions, including giving us some fabulous restaurant recommendations.
We loved our time in Paris, and Olivia's flat was a perfect place from which to explore it. We highly recommend staying there!
We stayed at Olivia's lovely flat for a week. It can't be better located! The neighbourhood is full of life but the apartment is very quiet. We loved its french-style decoration and the views from the terrace. It was confortable and full of charm. Don't be afraid of the stairs. I highly recommend you this place for a 100% french experience in Paris.
Olivia and her friend are nice and very quiet guests. I didn't even hear them coming back from a wedding-party at three o'clock in the night, soapy wet, as it was pouring of rain with thunder and a hard wind blowing.
I felt sorry I didn't have fresh milk the first day! Next time I will ask my guests what they drink at breakfast. I hope to return to Paris and will book at your house!
They are beautiful, friendly and very sweet! Thanks to leave my flat clean and tidy as you found it. I hope to see you soon in Paris. VERY RECOMMENDED
