By profession, I'm an engineer currently working with the use of ultrasound in connection with man-machine interfaces: the idea is being able to "talk" to your computer using gestures. It's rather fascinating, professionally, and actually quite fun.
On my spare time, I like going to a play; an occasional concert really defines a memorable evening; any most social events are appreciated. However, a lot of time is spent reading - various kinds of books. For instance, "Thinking fast and slow" by D. Kahneman right now - and it's very interesting, while my last novel was by Nuruddin Farah: Crossbones.
Travel has its attractions although I tend to do so less, now - have lived abroad for some years too (France, mainly).
