The studio in Montavilla was terrific. We stayed in the studio for almost three months. It was very spacious, clean, very well equipped, private, and our hosts made sure to make us feel welcome. Tim and Elizabeth were very gracious.
The studio is within walking distance to the train, which made it very easy to go into downtown without the hassle of a car. Within just a couple of miles were many great restaurants.
We would definitely come back to this studio. It was a lovely experience.
Elizabeth and Tim made us feel extremely welcome with their warmth and friendliness. They were so helpful and accommodating in every way, but also non-intrusive, and although this is an attached studio we felt like we were in our own private house. It was clean, organized, and the bed (and futon) were quite comfortable. Both the indoor and outdoor space were lovely. The neighborhood is great, quiet, and has easy access to everything. Everything was as described, and our family recommends this listing highly. They were perfect hosts!
Elizabeth and Tim provided a truly wonderful space. I felt like I had grown up and had a space of my own. It was spacious, clean and centrally located to all parts of Portland. The studio worked well for me and was large enough when I had a guest. I had a wonderful time and part of that was knowing that I was in a safe neighborhood and had a comfortable bed to go to at night.
We really enjoyed staying at Elizabeth and Tim's studio. It was very spacious for the two of us, and everything looked new. There was a clothes rack with plenty of hangers and a little storage organizer. The bed was comfortable and cozy, and Elizabeth had left us several blankets in case we got cold at night but the AC/heater worked perfectly as well. Towels were also provided and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The location was close to everything we wanted to visit, and the neighborhood was quiet and seemed like it had plenty of street parking (we got a designated space in the driveway so we never had to worry about that). She left us plenty of recommendations on places to eat and check out, and it was great to be able to (email hidden) Tabor in the morning! It rained a little bit while we were there, so it was a pleasant surprise to have access to very great noodle soup places within minutes of the studio. We didn't meet Elizabeth and Tim, as they were out of town during our stay but they left detailed instructions on how to get inside the studio, wifi access, etc. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a lot of space, quiet area and a reasonable price.
The listing description was perfect. We loved and thought the location was GREAT and Elizabeth was more than gracious! We could have just gotten the key from under the mat, yet she and her family allowed us to greet them and say quick hellos. The fridge had some fruit, 1/2 and 1/2 and cheese and there was coffee, wine and French bread on the counter - obviously not every Airbnb host is going to do this and maybe not even Elizabeth every time, but we were blown away at the thoughtfulness and kindness. As it was, we didn't have a car at first and so the goodies were a welcome sight!! She even surprised us with muffins on our last morning!. The room was more than spacious for we three sisters and the layout and furnishings were perfect. There is a fenced area out the back door that was completely private and lovely. AND, we were more than thrilled with the ceiling fans and air conditioning since it was incredibly hot in Portland during our stay. The ceiling fan was more than adequate but having the AC was super nice. Honestly, she was way beyond and above what I expected so I have not a single suggestion. We had a nightlight lamp burn out and it was quickly remedied. I asked for some walking routes - she provided a map - And it is quite obvious that should there be any concern, it will be addressed. I will definitely be staying here again when I visit family!! Oh, and she emailed us with some local festival events right after we arrived - one of which was right in the neighborhood - the 1st annual jazz festival so it's a good location for that, too. We were within walking distance to lots of great places and I especially enjoyed walking to and up Mt. Tabor a couple of mornings through the cute neighborhood.
Amazing Guests! Welcome back anytime!
