I've always led a peripatetic life and probably by already claiming to live in three places, let alone two hemispheres, coupled with the usage of my vocabulary in the first clause of this sentence; you probably think me somewhat pretentious. I'm actually not in the slightest - just detest these describe yourself boxes.

To be fair though, I travel a lot, as a freelancer, rather than a wandering minstrel or tinker. I have my beloved home and retreat in Nha Trang on Vietnam's charming tropical coastline up for rent by the day, week, month or longer, depending on your personal hygiene and ability to water my prized bouganvillea plant - only need to be qualified to competently operate a plastic watering can.

I'm affable and easy going - looking for like minded people who are seeking a comfortable retreat off the beaten track for a holiday or period of respite from reality of city life or whatever. Nha Trang is changing and modernising, yet keeping its conservatism - Bangkok it is not - it has an airport - 30 mins from HCMC but has a good nightlife great beaches, good food, friendly locals and ex-pats and is very laid back. I work in film so there are plenty of movies, a TV the size of Laos and fibre optic internet cable throughout the four storey property. There is also a study for those of you needing to work/freelance/write or just work on a project. The kitchen is fully equipped. I love to cook - the local markets are amazing and Nha Trang is famous for its seafood - although it's just as cheap to eat out. There is a great stereo system hooked up to an ipod deck, roof terraces: I'm going to stop here!

All the best, Richard
