The checkin was super smooth, i got it sorted right away. Host was very cool and friendly! The house is about 25 minute walk to the center (4km). The room was nice aand cozy and had a mini fridge too. I just wonder why there are so many birds on the yard if you run a hotel, its quite noisy. With earplugs that gets sorted though.
It is a very nice place and a nice room. We love to talk to the birds and to dance with them. Ingrid and Emma are very friendly! We didn't get this room, but another one that's very nice and comfortable.
The apartment is pretty close to the CBD, just ten minutes with the train. Trainstation and Woolies not far away.
We really recommend to stay here!
Very good base in Cairns.
The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable, although I would not call it luxury.
If you have a car the location is very good, with easy access and covered secure parking.
By foot the boardwalk is only a few minutes away, but the 'lagoon' area and Central are at least a 20 min walk.
The only drawback was the kitchen being outfitted with appliances, cookware and dinnerware that was old, used, and mismatched. It was not up to standard.
Overall though, we were happy there!
Ingrid was very hospitable and she made sure we were comfortable and settled in. On the day we checked in she wasn't around but she made sure that we had access to the room through the phone, which I thought was nice because we didn't have to wait for her to be back and could continue with our activities planned. Nice and cosy room. Wifi is superb as well. It gets a bit noisy as it is just beside a busy road in the morning but the noise is bearable. Very convenient going to the city and vic park as well. Ingrid is also an animal lover and I thought the mini bird enclosure was beautiful. Overall, great experience with the host.
Myself and my partner stayed here for 4 nights (we payed for 7 but couldn't get any money back) ingrid was a nice host, very friendly and helpful. The room is a good size (though crammed with far too much furniture) and has a TV and fridge. It's a house share with three other bedrooms and one shared bathroom. It has a kitchen though it was very grotty. The biggest issue for us was the huge bird cage right in front of the house with many loud birds and parrots that were hard to ignore and often woke us up. Other than that it's in a good location with easy access to the city via bus- we just felt that what we paid was far too much compared to what the long term people living there must be paying.
Great place, she is very accommodating as she let us move up our stay by 2 days on short notice. We even got a room with an ensuite which worked out really well. She does have birds which can be a bit loud at times. They are quite at night.
The stay at Ingrid's was splendid. Ingrid was very friendly and helpful. Place was safe, easily accessible, close to CBD. Will definitely recommend friends there and also return to Ingrid's place when i visit Perth again :)
The apartment is in a great location. You can walk everywhere, and its a great unit with lots of room. The apartment checkin was easy, and the unit was perfect for us. There is a pool, which was hard to find, but you can get to it from the car park.
The unit has a washer/dryer which came in handy. The kitchen was full usable, and clean.
Our biggest gripe with the unit was internet. The internet connection was very inconsistent. We would get disconnected every so often, and the speed varied between slow and terrible. Also it is not mentioned, but the internet is 5 bucks a day per device. With a laptop and a couple of phones, you are paying quite a bit.
Also the guy at the reception was a little weird. Initially he didnt like us going through Airbnb, and not reserving directly. Also he mentioned some other unit having the same entry code as us, and going into our unit. We reached out to Ingrid/Kurt about that but didnt hear anything back.
However apart from those two things, everything about the unit and stay was fantastic.
This Apartment is in Cairns and no longer under my management, my complex in Perth has free unlimited high speed optic fibre internet. Please do visit and try it out, you wont be disappointed.
Ingrid has warm heart! she welcomed us and helped us alot! on the first day, she let us know where to eat sth near her house, even it was late at night, she took us to the street where there areany restaurants.
also, the location is good. it is close to the airport, taxi fare was less than 40 aus dollars and right in front of the house, there is a bus stop and train station is walking distance. we used public transportation to go cbd, fremantle.
the room and private bathroom are clean and cozy. there are enough plugs and there is a private refrigerator. also there is a dining room you can cook and eat. you can use washing machine...there is everything you need whether you stay short or long.
everything was perfect! warm regards to ingrid. i miss her and henry the bird:) Thank you very much!
Staying at Ingrid's place was very convenient. My room was comfortable, and there was a bus stop close to the house, the bus can drive you to the city centre in 10 minutes.
