Maurizio is a really nice person and the best host i had so far.
Even though the apartment is only a few blocks away from train station he sent his friend to pick me up in a car with my luggage at almost 11pm in the night. He even came to say good by one day before my check out with a Tuscan chocolate! And even though I couldn't go he offered me to take me on a trip to another small town near by. The apartment was very clean, and Maurizio prepared some fruits and tuscany wine for welcome.
I found everything i needed.
There isn't anything negative that worth to mention. Just that the freeze is quite small so i couldn't keep more food/wine there and i had to go almost everyday to the supermarket during my stay. But there are plenty of them in the area Lidl, Coops and Pam, apart from other small shops, butchers and some pizzerias so there wasn't a problem. The bed could be better but is ok.
The apartment is really spacious, and has a really nice views (almost 360 degrees) that includes the church that's almost in front, beautiful mountains and Grosseto the town itself.
The apartment is on the last floor and is the only one on that floor so you have full privacy and there is the building terrace that you can use. I was on winter but in the sunny days is possible to take out the table and have a meal with beautiful views.
The internet speed was fine and there is also tv with plenty of italian channels so you can improve the language.
Grosseto is really safe i walked late at night and nothings happened, is very clean and you found almost everything. The apartment is well located.
I found everything to a walking distance (maximun 15 min).
The historic center of grosseto is really beautiful and you can even find night life with 2-3 bars closing late at 2am wich is good for a small town :)
I enjoyed everything in the apartment and the town however the prices for clothes and even about a pint beer (6 eur) is quite expensive for my taste. But hey! you're in the tuscany so i guess is like that.
