My Wife and I had the pleasure of staying with Luke for a night and we had a ball. He's great company and a generous guy. There are two rooms and they're super warm and comfy - better than photos show. Highly recommended.
Fantastic place to stay! The guest space is a cosy little living room with a ladder up to the loft bedroom. The log burner is superb for after a hard day's walk. Luke provided a great help-yourself breakfast and plenty of hill-walking advice! If we're back in North Wales we'll definitely stay again.
My stay with Luke was full of chat & warm hearted hospitality. I will definitely be back again.
Luke was a great host and his house is very cool. It was so nice to stay in a place with so much watch and character as to a sterile/modern environment. The snug is a great spot with a real wood burning stove and lofted bed with 2 skylights. We had a great time and would happily stay there again. The only minus was not getting to meet Luke!
Had a fantastic stay here. Luke was very hospitable and had a roasting fire going in the snug ready for our arrival. The word cosy doesn't even come close.
Luke was a fantastic host for our one night stay! We didn't have evening plans and ended up staying in and talking all night. Luke was beyond accommodating letting us make use of his kitchen and keeping the fire going in our room. We heard some great stories about his travels and had some good laughs. We would highly recommend Luke's home for anyone's stay.
Great location to get to the zip wire at zipworld.
Comfy warm stay with a burning log fire. Lovely bed above with no disturbances or outside noise!
Luke left us to it and let us use his kitchen.
Would stay again if in the area but id just bring my laptop or iPad to watch movies.
Luke's place is such a hidden gem. It is not overly secluded and can be reached very easily especially if you drive. My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights and we absolutely loved it. The lounge area was kept warm and cosy by the wood-fired stove (an excellent experience for us who grew up in big busy cities). On top of that, Luke was great company, knowledgeable about life, travel and the area! Definitely would want to stay there again if we do visit that part of Wales! In fact, we are already missing Luke's home!
We very much enjoyed our stay. The private snug area with the wood fire was a great touch and made for a couple of cosy evenings. Luke was very accommodating; providing us with hot showers, coffee, breakfast, and use of the kitchen for cooking. He was great to sit down and chat with, had interesting stories/experiences to share and gave us our own privacy when required. The cottage is less than 20 minutes from Mt. Snowdon and other beautiful landscapes, I would return to Luke's cottage if visiting the area again.
We stayed 2 nights at Luke’s cosy cottage and we enjoyed very much our stay. When we arrived, everything was ready, the room was warm, the stove was on and Luke was waiting for us. He was very welcoming, attentive and willing to help. Overall, our stay was excellent and we specially loved the lounge, where we read long hours in front of the fire. Expecting to come back soon, we highly recommend the experience.
