Happy go lucky cyclist and dancer. Well travelled and literate.
Luke was a really great Airbnb host! Highly-knowledgeable of the vicinity, well-traveled and an extremely easy person to talk to. He is easily contactable and responds quickly. His place was cosy/homey and he was really accommodating and makes you feel right at home, highly-recommended if you're looking for a place to stay not too far from Llanberis or Snowdon itself! (:
Response from Luke:
Thanks Bryan, Hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip.
We stayed at Luke's place for 1 night as we were going up snowdon. His home is very close to
The llanberis pass. He is a very friendly host and very welcoming. We had a a great weekend and would definitely go back to this beautiful part of wales.
Response from Luke:
It was a pleasure. Hope Snowdon was all you expected
We arrived fairly late, but found the cottage easily (the YHA sign definitely helped!) Luke was a superb host, and was very helpful towards suggestions locally. The room was lovely and very comfortable, breakfast was all ready in the morning which was very helpful. Very enjoyable stay, Thanks Luke!
Luke has a lovely historical cottage in the North of Wales very close to Llanberis.
You have a bedroom with lounge for yourself. These are very cosy and rustic with an actual wood oven in it (we very much enjoyed having a fire in it in the evenings)
You go up a ladder to enter the bedrooms, which is in the attic.
Luke is a very helpful and cheery host and our conversations where always interesting and funny.
If you are looking for a quiet, lovely and peaceful place with a great host to stay then you are right.
I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone who wants to stay in a cottage and would definitely stay in Lukes place again.
Well, where do I start from. I stayed at Lukes for almost 3 weeks while I was looking for a more stable place to live after moving to north Wales for work.
It's a lovely traditional cottage with great character and with all the comforts of a modern house. The room has a cozy living room with a stove and a ladder brings to an attic bedroom with a really comfortable bed. The village is in a great position between Snowdon, Bangor and Caernarfon.
Great Person to live with. Really respectful of a person's privacy with great sense of hospitality, able to have a great conversation about every topic. I could never imagine that so many interests could fit in one person (biking, traveling, rowing, climbing, reading, films, dancing, .... and so on).
I will never forget his generosity.
If you need a in the area I highly recommend it.
Beautiful location and cosy stay. Luke was extremely generous and we enjoyed our stay.
Luke's historic cottage was lovely, cozy and quaint. We truly enjoyed our stay and absolutely recommend it !! Luke was very nice and sociable; he made us feel comfortable and even welcomed us with a nice cuppa. Luke also gave us countless tips to make the most of our trip, which is priceless. He also speaks very well in French ;-) Many thanks for hosting us and I dare say until next time!
Luke is a very nice and open host and interesting to talk to. Gave us very good advices about activities in Snowdonia.
Luke's place is brilliant - exactly my cup of tea; in beautiful surroundings, full of character and Luke was a great host- as a fellow pedal cycler he understood our needs completely & made us very welcome.
The cottage is in an ideal spot for anyone who loves cycling & walking.
My boyfriend and I had a great weekend in Wales at Luke's cottage. It is definitely traditional and full of character. The room is basic but cosy and as we stayed for 3 nights we appreciated having a separate bedroom and living area, and having use of Luke's kitchen to make dinner, as there isn't anywhere local to go. Luke was a great host, was very welcoming and easygoing and advised us on what to do in the local area.
