I run a travel site and blog, (website hidden), from my adopted home of Bogota, Colombia. Originally from the US, I've traveled to 27 countries and found my place in the world (for now) in Colombia.

Staying with Jeff was a key part to one of my most memorable travel experiences. From the very beginning Jeff was extremely helpful and easy going about my late evening arrival.
Jeff's apartment is in a very secure building. There are lots of cabs outside (very handy for the early morning airport trips). The room is great, simple and comfortable. Jeff provides a set of clean towels and even gives you a key to lock your door if you want the extra privacy. I had a really easy time getting everywhere I needed to—great location!
Jeff had already pulled out guidebooks of the city. He shared his take or those from friends on different things to do in Bogota, including great food tips.
Breakfast. Wow. Fantastic! Good strong coffee, delicious egg scramble with ones picks of veggies and bacon. And fresh fruit. Jeff is so kind and noted my ravenous devour of the mango the first morning and he made sure to get another.
Dexter, his bulldog, is a blast. Definitely still a puppy but Jeff is so courteous that he will keep him upstairs, if you aren't a big dog person or Dexter gets too excited.
I only had a couple days to spend in Bogota and though I know I didn't get to everything, I feel like I experienced a lot. Much much thanks to Jeff. You can't go wrong to stay with Jeff if you planning a trip to Bogota.
Jeff was very considerate with being on time, and keeping the apartment clean.
I would recommend anyone to have him over.
