Caroline and her family were adorable guests. We hosted for some days in Barcelona and highly recommend them. They left the apartment in good shape, communication was easy and it was a great experience in all.
This guest was a total nightmare: she complained about everything and it was simply not true, only because she wanted part of the money back, threatening to post a bad review. The first day she did not want to get in the apartment because she did not like the guests who were in it before her. She said it was dirty, even though the maid had thoroughly cleaned it for 4 hours (it is a 1-room apartment). I offered her to stay free of charge at another apartment in the same building for 1 night, and then waited for the time she wanted to move in the apartment she booked. I waited until midnight, when she decided to move after returning from a dinner with her friends. Then she came a lot of times to my apartment (I I've next door, unfortunately, when such guests come), asked for new pillows, not previously used, asked for new bed covers (in addition to the clean linen which were provided). I gave her everything that she asked for. She came many more times to me asking for detergents for the washing machine, for the dishwasher, for the windows, then for the cupboards. She said she could not go to the supermarket to buy them, because she had to work. Then she asked for a hair dryer. I also gave this to her. After I refused to give her her money back, she wrote to Airbnb service to have it back from them, saying that I was in agreement. After this, I only wished not to see her again.
