I'm not the type of person to have an exchange of views especially on a public forum, but I thought I should clarify the fallacies that Paula wrote. First, we notified her that the keys were underneath the doormat once we left the apartment; a request she asks all tenants to do before they leave. Second, we asked for a night to be reimbursed due to the fact that she said we could arrive in the early morning and pay an extra fee (1 extra nights stay) in order to be let in, but upon arrival no one answered the door and we were left outside in an unsafe area at 2AM. After trying to call Paula, which she asked us to do if there were any issues, she was unreachable and told us the next day she had left her phone at work. Fortunately enough, one tenant heard us knocking and luckily let us into the apartment complex, which she mentioned that not being able to get into the complex was a common occurrence with people staying at Paula's apartment. The refund was requested because of this specific incident and because when we arrived at the apartment, it was not ready because her "personal assistant" had not made any of the beds because she was not expecting us that night. In addition, there was broken glass all over the floor and there were condoms stuffed into the bedside drawer. This made us feel uncomfortable to the point where we thought getting our money back for the first night was completely reasonable - something that Paula still has not granted us even though she said she would.
