Hi I'm Shanelle!
I am an artist, designer and vintage clothing line owner.
My place in echo park is an artist pad in an artists community! I am looking for people of the like to come and enjoy my comfortable space!
Thanks for viewing!
Shanelle was great - I only crossed paths a couple times, but she was helpful and considerate. The room is as advertised: the curtained off living room portion of the kitchen/dining/living room. It was perfectly sized, comfortable bed, little couch to hang out on, and direct access to the balcony with a view of the city. Week nights were very nice, with only the gurgle of the turtle tank to lull me to sleep. Weekend nights were a little louder, with a few people traipsing through the apartment and music in the neighborhood, which was forgivable given the price, location, and comfort of the place.
Great location and very hepful host. Easy check in, fast response and a great deal. This is really located in the coolest area in LA (Echo Park & Sunset Blvd). The view was wonderful and it was very quiet in any moment of the day/night. To be recommended!
This was a lovely place, beautiful view, access to the park, and peaceful. Just what I needed. Shanelle and her boyfriend were very nice hosts.
Shanelle was a really great host and the room was perfect for me. It is slightly small quarters though so keep that in mind when booking! You'll need to, of course, be conscientious and defer to her as it is her home. But my bed was wonderful, the curtain partition is very effective, and the location is fantastic!
A lovely place. Really great neighborhood as well. You can oversee the whole city from the balcony! I stayed there 5 nights and I had a blast in Echo Park!
Shanelle's apartment was wonderful and has a really great artsy vibe to it. Despite the room only being separated by curtains, there's plenty of privacy. Shanelle and Jacob are very courteous people and I felt perfectly comfortable there. The location is great too, save for the steep walk to get there (but you'll get used to it), otherwise it's super easy to get around town by buses.
Keys were easy to attain, location was great. Communication was really easy and although I didn't meet Shanelle in person (or her flatmate) I felt really at home. It's a really sweet space and we felt we had privacy even tho the room is behind a curtain in the living room. The balcony and view were worth the stay alone.
i didn't meet shanelle but she was very helpful in coordinating my stay, with a super clean comfy bed and apt. the apt is just like the pictures, if not better, no bad surprises.
I arrived at Shanelle's exhausted, far later than expected, with a raging cold and plugged ears from my flight - and couldn't get the entry code to work. Shanelle wasn't at home, but was so patient when I called her. She even offered to return from her evening to help. Thankfully, that wasn't necessary.
All I needed was a quiet place and a comfy bed. Both were there, along with a sublime nighttime view of the moon and Orion and the city from the sofa on the deck. Everything was clean, tidy and welcoming. I slept so well.
Turtle the Turtle was gracious roommate, and a long walk in Elysian Park (right outside the front door) the next morning was a perfect way to begin my visit to LA.
Thank you, Shanelle and friends.
My room was exactly as described and the bed was comfortable. I only saw my host once and that was fine, as I was out most of the time. The only thing that didn't make this a 5 star experience was the lingering smell of cigaretts, probably from previous renters of that apartment. Though I had a really good stay, I will try another airbnb host next time in LA, just for a different experience.
