A native of Wisconsin, I have lived in Northern California since 1989. I have worked at Stanford University for the last 20 years and, since 2006, have served as Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs in the School of Medicine.
I love to travel and during the summer of 2010 had the pleasure and privilege of spending three weeks in Paris and various cities in Italy, including Perugia, Lucca and Vernazza. My upcoming travel plans will take me to Las Vegas for the first time where I will reunite with three childhood friends, two of whom I haven't seen in decades!
My other interests include reading (mainly fiction and biographies), attending concerts (everything from opera it a small Italian piazza to Tuck and Patti at Stanford to Melody (website hidden) Chicago), listening to a wide variety of music, hiking, swimming, exploring San Francisco on a regular basis, and keeping an open mind and heart.
