I teach architecture and urban studies. I am married to a 5th generation Lawrencian but we both received our doctorates from UC Berkeley. He in invertebrate biology and me in architecture. I grew up in Maine and am of French-Canadian ancestry. I love to travel, to spend time in cities, to play music with friends (guitar, fiddle), and to cook with family and friends. I enjoy watching films although we don't have a TV. My husband has three grown sons and we have two grandchildren. He loves astronomy and paleontology and has never met a rock he didn't like. We've traveled all over the US and Canada including Newfoundland. I've been all over Europe as far East as Moscow and north to Finland and south to Istanbul/Greece/Italy. I am easy going and friendly and pretty quiet. I spent years in apartments so developed quiet ways. My husband grew up on a farm and is noisier, but he's very affable and an optimist. I don't actually speak Suomi but they didn't have Eesti as an option...it's as close as I could get.
