We are very flexible and easygoing hosts. We prefer cleanly, nice, respectful people.
Erica and Eli's Apartment was lovely! In fact, I would be very pleased if this was my home if I lived in NY.
Erica was my main point of call during my 4 nights as Eli was often working but the one time I did meet him I thought he was a nice chap.
Erica was a great host letting me come and go as I pleased and gave me privacy when I needed but also chatted when I had questions. I arrived a few days after Hurricane Sandy so I was apprehensive if there was going to be heating or hot water but it was fine when I arrived.
Their flat is small but it's really cute, very clean and has everything you need. It's on the ground floor too which helps if you don't like carrying cases up stairs. The building is very clean and in a lovely area which I know well.
I would highly recommend their home if you are looking to stay with a couple who clearly pride themselves on their home. It was cosy and I felt very comfortable all the time. Thumbs up!
I found myself in a predicament with a plane ticket to NYC but no place to stay since my buddy was actually going home that weekend. I put out a message to several AirBNBers and Eli and Erica were one of a few that replied. After looking at some of the others, it seemed Eli and Erica's place was the best bang for the buck. Nice place in a nice neighborhood at a good price.
While I never met Eli, seems he works a lot, Erica and I met briefly a couple of times and she was delightful. She was very friendly and we had a couple of nice brief chats. I really didn't see them much because I spend most of my days away and just use the place to clean up and sleep.
Their place is really nice and very clean. The room itself was very clean as well, the bed nice and comfortable with good sheets, pillows, and a duvet. I slept like a baby (I think I snored too....oops!) There is a small desk and chair in the room which came in handy while surfing the web and planning my day.
Overall it was a great stay and I consider Eli and Erica to be my heros for having a place for me to stay at the last minute. I would stay with them again in a heartbeat! Of my 3 AirBNB experiences, this has been the best so far.
Eli and Erica were amazing hosts. We had a blast during our visit. They were very accommodating - telling us where all the best restaurants were and where we could find the best coffee shops. The apartment was super clean, the room was cozy, we had fresh sheets and towels, and the location was prime. Seriously, look no further friends. If you want a great experience and meet great people, stay here.
My girlfriend and I, we really appreciated the welcome of our hosts. The flat is very nice, clean and perfectly situated in East Village, only 5 to 10 minutes from the metro lines which can bring you easily to other places in Manhattan or Brooklyn. The neighborhood is nice with good places to eat or just to have a drink (we had really good tips from Erica and Eli!). The only minor inconvenient is that the room is small, but it corresponds to the description, so no surprise. We would warmly recommended to anybody coming to visit NYC alone or in a couple.
Très bonne expérience. Eli et Erica sont charmants. L appartement et la chambre sont cosy et le quartier dans East village très vivant.
Eli and Erica are wonderful and helpful hosts. Room was small but cozy, the bed was very comfortable. Their apartment is very convenient, walking distance to St. Marks, Union Square and several train lines.
Thanks for everything, Eli and Erica!
Very kind and welcoming hosts, nice room and very good bed! Thank you Eli & Erika!
Eli and Erika are the best hosts are very attentive and with all the availability to help, the apartment is very cozy, clean and safe, that are conveniently located near restaurants, bars, whole food, wallgreens, etc., thank you very much Eli for the sandwich it was delicious and helped me so much in my flight delay, my friend and I really recommend and we do not hesitate to turn to stay with them in our next trip to NY, they are very polite and attentive persons.
Eli and Erica were very nice hosts, very flexible with the arrival and departure time. The appartment is very well situated, all the restaurants and shops are very close.
Considering the cleanliness (fair but far from perfect), the mattress (very soft) and the size of the bathroom and bedroom, we would we prefered a price lower than $145 a night.
Where to start off it was an awsome experience That Polo and I would highly recommend. Great hosts awsome to talk too. The apartment was nice, abstract, and clean. It was easy to feel at home with them, have great conversations. The location is perfect around east side you will find numerous bars, food places, markets. For new years our plans were to spend at time square which we decided not too/ Great choice we found an awsome bar about couple blocks away great plces. Try St. Marks awsome. I would book them everytime i went to nyc for either business or pleasure. They are a keeper as hosts and friendship. Thanks again Eli and Erika hope you enjoy your gift. I will be back soon!! :)
maritza and polo
I had no problems having Eli and Erica stay at my apt and I having a good sense you won't either.
Eli and guests were an absolute pleasure and are always welcome in my home
Erica was a great guest - clean, friendly, easygoing! I would gladly welcome her again. And since she hosts in NYC, if I ever need a place to stay I would be happy to stay there!
I didn't get to meet Eli, i did meet his girlfriend for a quick hello. He left a critical review of our property that could deter guests which I am not pleased about. Confirmed reservation was for 4 people, not 3 which he stated in the review, and his review was in the tone of house was not a good value. Nightly price comes down the longer you stay, additionally cleaning fees gets spread out over more nights...I simply caution other hosts about this as guests experience/raging of value is important and some don't seem to understand the stay longer get a better deal concept.
