Win Bassett’s essays and interviews have been published by The Atlantic, The Paris Review Daily, the Oxford American, and Guernica. His fiction and poetry have appeared or are forthcoming in The Southern Poetry Anthology series, Image, PANK, and Still: The Journal. He’s a former articles editor of the North Carolina Law Review and a former assistant district attorney. He serves on the PEN Prison Writing Program Fiction Committee and as Legal Advisor for Asymptote and The Field Office, a literary agency based in Lexington, Kentucky. A recipient of a scholarship to the Virginia Quarterly Review Writers’ Conference, he’s from southwestern Virginia and is a Teaching Fellow at Yale.
Beginning in the fall of 2015, he’ll teach English at Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville.
