Hello! My name is Jack and I look forward in hosting and meeting you here in Taipei, Taiwan! Welcome and please enjoy!
Very clean, comfortable and did well to meet all expectations. The room is just as the pictures show. Highly recommend this value for money service over a hotel for anyone seeking a comfortable stay in Taipei
It was a very convenient place and spacious - value for money :)
The best location ever! Close to mtr (2 mins walk), shopping, and local cuisine. The room looks like the photos. There was drilling at 7.30am on the Saturday from the floor above us so hopefully the construction will be completed ASAP. One thing to note: if you check in after 10pm, they will charge you 100 NT per hour after 10pm. This wasn't originally stated in the listing so just FYI.

The Good and the Not so Good:
Prior to my stay, Jack was really prompt in responding and we were set. Once in Taiwan, I messaged Jack and let him know we were on our way, but without wifi, we had difficulty finding the apt. BIG thanks to the MRT staff who helped us and called Jack so he could meet us at the station.
Great location and very close to the MRT station. The building is older and less maintained then I was expecting, however, upon entering the unit it was just like the pictures: clean, modern, and a good size for 2 people -- I was happy! Jack was polite and our stay was otherwise great.
The only downside that REALLY disappointed me was on our last day. We spoke to Jack about storing our luggage for a few hours after checkout and he said we could leave the luggage in the room AND leave our keys in the room at check out. When we planned to return, we should message Jack and he would meet us at the apartment to let us in. I asked Jack on our last day if we could just hang on to the keys and leave them when we pick up our stuff and he said that wasn't possible. I didn't really understand why since our stuff would be there, (and I was really worried about the "what ifs" of not being able to get our stuff and being late to the airport) but I did as he asked. Jack and I verbally confirmed that we would meet in front of the building at 4pm.
And that's when it started to go downhill. I messaged Jack confirming 4pm after our call (always good to confirm due to language barrier), no response. Messaged 1hr later asking if he could meet at 3:30 instead, just to be safe, no response. Messaged asking him to confirm, no response. Going from prompt response to no response was very worrying. Jack was aware I did not have a phone line to call.
I arrived at the apt at 3:30 and he wasn't there. I figured he hadn't seen my msg and would be there by 4. Nope, no one was there at 4. Msgd asking where he was, no response. I needed to get to the airport and all my luggage was locked up. I didn't have a phone or any way to contact him. So in desperation I went outside the locked apartment door, connected to the wifi, messaged my sister in the USA at midnight her time and asked her to call Jack because I had NO other way.
I DID NOT expect my AirBnb experience to end like this and it really put a damper on all the positives of the room. After my sis called, we eventually ran in to a woman at 4:30 that wheeled our luggage out (no idea from where) and rushed to the airport.
The central location was perfect for us. It is just a short walk away from the MRT, shops and tons of eateries. Room seemed clean upon arrival, but there were quite a few mosquitoes. One afternoon when the room was cleaned, we were left with only one bath towel. I messaged Jack and he was quick to respond, however with the New Year, it was difficult to get the the office to respond to our needs. We would stay again because of the awesome location.
