A great Guest to have !
It was a pleasure to host Brian.Great guest.I enjoyed our conversation. He's nice, friendly and very easy to (email hidden) apartment was left very clean and tidy Always welcome back.Thanks. I totally recommend him to future hosts.
Amazingly friendly and interested person great guest and welcome anytime!
Mr. Simons booked two months ago our apartment on Rue de Bouchers in Brussels for 3 nights from (phone number hidden) till (phone number hidden), total cost 227 euro. He then changed the dates one day before arriving as his schedule was not very sure and we accepted the change.
Coming from a wedding party from Germany (where he might have eaten or drunk something that disagreed with his health problems), he got into contact with our assistant Charlotte, got the keys and checked into the apartment. He got ill (an astma attack) in the evening, blaming it on the ‘molding’ in the apartment. He left abruptly without calling our assistant nor informing us. We got his email the next morning to inform us that he was no longer in Brussels and had left the apartment and checked into a hotel (he didn’t specify where). We responded within the hour to inform him that we could upgrade him without extra charge to our other apartment that is only 500 meters away from where he stayed and is at double the price of the one he stayed.
He did not contact our assistant, nor us until he got back home four days later. On his arrival home he send us a second threatening email.
In his email he demanded a refund via paypal and he would not write a review.
Brian Simons sent you an invoice for €331.00 EUR.
Note from Brian Simons
I will not review the property on airbnb if payment is made. I did not charge back the 42,50 euros in airbnb fees I paid, nor did I add on any money for the inconvenience of having to move in the middle of the night
He never contacted our assistant and left the keys of the apartment in the mailbox on the last day of his stay.
I don’t know the physical condition of Mr. Simons, but in his last email he clearly states that he has had this asthma attack before from old renovated houses and coming from a party in Germany we can only guess what kind of allergy he has. Our apartment has no mold, we tried everything we could to make his stay comfortable. It seems to us that he is abusing a situation with the excuse of ill health to get a refund for his constant changing plans. There are free hotspots in Brussels on basically every corner of the street, the apartment has free high speed internet connection and our assistant is reachable 24/7 by local phone. He choose not to use any of the above. As far as I know he didn't contact your helpdesk that evening he left which is available 24/7 as well. He wrote to us that he had this problem before in renovated houses. We clearly state in our description that this is a 16th century renovated house with a ground floor apartment. He didn’t inform us about his health situation, nor asked us anything about it before booking
Brian was a great guest. Clean, friendly and forthcoming. Recommended!
A really nice man ,welcome back any time.
I would not doubt a minute to rent again to Brian. Perfect guest!
