Family of three from NYC. Trying to introduce ourselves to airbnb n hoping to experience great things from here...applying it to our trip to Australia if all goes well with booking.

After read the review, we are filled with disappointment as you have written a review based on your emotion and we need to clarify her libelous content:
1. You had compared our apt with 5 star hotel which is not unreasonable. We are just a apt in bnb.
2.We had clean up the apartment thoroughly. During check in, she have even complained about water stain which is very minor in cleanness.I had offered a extra cleaning for her but she had not said anything after the cleaning. We even did not know she is unsatifised with the condition.
3.We have kept our apartment in good condition. There is only few scratch marks on the floor only. There was some extra worn out on the floor and wall We replace our sofa after her stay as the sofa was broken. We have not claim from security deposit as we assume it is noraml worn out. In fact, we have lost money after her stay.
4. We had hired a cleaning lady before her arrival. We have paid salary to the cleaning lady and we have kepy all photocopies of cheaque of wage because we need to claim expenditure to our partner.
According to our calendar, there was plenty of time before her visit. After her complained, extra cleaing service has offered once more after her check in. She had not complained after the second cleaning but only request the cancellation of booking.
5. It is really weird to open the cover of filter of AC during the stay. For AC unit, we had cleaned every month as it is hardf for cleaning lady to climb up and down.
6. According to Airbnb policy, 100% of rent is charged after check in. We are not landlord, so we just tell them what we can offer by ourlandlord. We have tired my best to fight the extra benefit to her but not only charge her. 50% rent deduction was granted by our heart and understanding.
Furthermore, we had offered extra amenties(DVD player, adaptor for appliance), extra linen and a great discount which had not stated in her review As a serving host, we had even deducted our income from her booking as we got money from our landlord from booking.
In fact, we do not mind guests with extra request and we try our very best to fulfill what our guest' need. But we are disappointed and unhappy about this booking as we paid a lot of effort on it.
We understand she may not satifised with her stay. But we definitely can't accept the content which is not the truth. We have catered all the guests with heart and care which has been shown by the other guests' review.
Finally, We will consult our landlord's lawyer later and we reserve our right to take legal action.
