I have visited over seventy countries, from Albania to Uzbekistan. I have written two book-length travelogues.
I am happily married, although my wife is not quite as enthusiastic about travel as I am so I often travel alone.
When I'm not on the road I enjoy theatre, reading and long-distance cycling. I don't watch television, eat meat, drink alcohol, smoke or drive.
I work in the high-tech sector and my job takes me to many exotic places. I am also a member of the New Sheridan Club and enjoy wearing tweed.
I am extremely tidy and fastidious. Indeed, I have long been a minimalist. When travelling I spend almost all of my time walking the streets sight-seeing, only returning to my room to sleep. I hope this means I make a good guest.
