Awesome. The place was just as shown in pictures. Room was super-large, bed was super comfy, place was spotless, extremely clean and nice! The bathroom was really nice as well and the distance to subway was perfect. But over all, what made my stay a perfect one was the way Erika made me feel like at home from the first moment. Could not find a better person to accomodate and place to stay. Highly and warmly recommend!
Erika was a fantastic host. We had a great, wonderful and perfect experience. Erika was so helpful. She gave us a lot of advice to discover Brooklyn and Manhattan. Our one year old daughter enjoyed a lot. She spent great times with Erika's son. Our room was large and comfortable. Erika's place is really close to the main attractions of Brooklyn and closed to the main lines to get Manhattan and JFK AIrport. We shared more than an appartment with Erika, we shared a real friendship.
Erika's place is great! However it's located in Brooklyn, it's really very close to Manhattan. (the first metro stop when you get out of Manhattan) For us, it was rather a plus to stay in Brooklyn. That way, we could explore this great borrough of New York easily (Park Slope, Prospect Park, Carrolls Gardens, Boerum Hill, Dumbo, Vinegar Hill). The room we had was large, with a huge bed. The bathroom was tiny, but neath. We had everything we wanted (great shower!).
Erika is very friendly and helpful if you have any questions. When we were staying at Erika's place, she had some other guests so it was a full house, but that didn't really bother us. In the morning, we were often woken up by her conversations with her 2 year old sun and her friends, but once again, that didn't disturb us.
We fully recommand a stay at Erika's!!
Erica is a wonderful person, very friendly, we love her... We do not speak English, and was very patient with us to explain everything. The apartment is the same as that in the photos, it's nice, modern and very clean, and very close to the tourist area to New York. The apartment is one block from the subway station, and it is very easy to locate. When we return to New York, without hesitation would stay where Erica.
We had a lovely experience staying at Erika's home. She was so hospitable and friendly. Her house is modern and really safe and very clean. The bathroom was extremely clean and the shower was very nice. The location was close to the subway and an easy walk to Brooklyn Heights. Erika was really helpful in helping us get a taxi and figure out where to go. We felt very safe with Erika and would highly recommend this place. She is a great host. We thoroughly enjoyed her home.
I booked the room for one of my artists in town from Atlanta to work on some new music for a show I'm producing. She loved being in Brooklyn and was very happy with the room, her host and the whole environment.
We had a great stay at Erika's. Brooklyn provides a different perspective on New York, which you might miss when only staying in Manhattan. Erika gave us some good recommendations for restaurants around the neighborhood. Still the subway is only a minute walk away and goes straight across the Brooklyn bridge to the bustling city.
The house is very clean and nicely decorated. The room is separated from the living room offering private but it was still kind of noisy at night as the door is not so thick.
Erik and her housemate Cameron are very friendly and we had some fun conversations. This is the great part of staying with locals, getting a different perspective of the city. Erika even paid a taxi for us when we were almost late for a party. Much appreciated!
Would stay here again for sure.
Erika is a lovely lady and has a lovely apartment - very modern. The room I stayed in looked just like the pictures. My only objection is that the window air conditioner is very loud, so I didn't sleep with it on. Therefore I slept in a pool of sweat. One suggestion for Erika - there is no place to hang a bath towel - I had to hang mine on the bedpost. A hook in the bathroom would be helpful.
Unfortunately, Erika was unable to stay with me during her planned trip due to a car accident, but she went above and beyond her guest responsibilities by setting up a trip for her cousin to take her place. She was a great communicator and very courteous throughout the booking process and her cousin left the house in immaculate shape! I'd highly recommend Erika as a guest!
Erika and her family were lovely, people I would enjoy knowing as friends. Her son, Eric, who is three made a really lovely guest, and it was a joy to know that books left for him were read and enjoyed at bedtime. Erika's husband is a wonderful buy, great sense of humor. The whole family seemed like the kind of people who make any out-of-town travel a success. I would welcome them back any time!
Very nice and generous guests!
left everything in perfect condition .
It was a pleasure hosting Erika and getting to chat with her. Great on all levels that airbnb grades guests on. She has wonderful positive energy and was a whirlwind of research and activity. She was most kind, thoughtful and considerate and left me more gifts than I get from Santa on Christmas. Would certainly welcome hosting her again (no addtl gifts necessary!) and recommend her as a guest to any host.
Nice group of 4 people!
