MIT alum. OSU alum. In my 30s. Enjoy traveling with my husband. First language is English. We will be traveling together unless otherwise noted.
I have a rough understanding/speaking of Spanish, including Puerto Rican Spanish! (However, my husband speaks fluent Spanish and English and is Puerto Rican de la isla.) Some basic understanding of French.
When I travel I like to eat at local restaurants, anything from taco trucks to fancy places with the boxes of tea selections. But probably lean more towards the casual non-chain restaurants. I try to travel light (1-2 small bags, smaller than a rolly bag) but sometimes I struggle with this on longer trips. As a AirBnB guest I enjoy it when hosts have local information like maps and event guides. I try to bike when I travel, and almost always take the bus and train. I appreciate it when hosts have snacks, but I'm not a big breakfast person so I don't mind if people don't have food out. Like to chat with the host, but I'm not looking for someone to take us out and show us the town. I understand hosts are busy with their own lives!
