From the moment we arrived Rotem and Avi made us feel at home. The bungalows are peaceful (slept well every night) and well maintained, the pool area is relaxing, and the coffee is always on — we loved it. Besides that they were both incredibly gracious and helpful with all of our needs and whims — we wanted to learn to surf, Rotem found us the best surfing instructor around (Amit), we wanted an ATV for the day, Avi set it up and off we went. We didn't feel like we were staying at an Inn, we felt like we were staying with friends. Also, they choose great people to stay here: we became friends with our bungalow neighbors and they helped us find an awesome surf photographer to document our surf lessons, and we all chatted by the pool about life and food. Great experience!
Zula was a great place to stay. We have a baby and they put us in a nice quiet corner and even had a crib for us. With AC, wifi, a well equipped kitchen, hammock, fans, tv, free coffee and a nice pool this place is a great value. Only down side is it is a bit of a walk to get anywhere, but that means its more secluded. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. The landscaping was awesome and you have to eat at the zula restaurant... amazing stuff! The near by beach was nice and had decent surf.
Zula Inn was wonderful! The location was great, just a short 5-minute walk to the beach on the other side of the road. The bungalows are surrounded by beautiful trees and plants, and it is beautiful area just to walk around. We were only there for 2 nights, but Rotem was very helpful. The only negative thing I could say is that the 2nd night we were there, our A/C stopped working and we didn't have any way to reach the hosts as we didn't carry our cell phones on vacation (they leave you their numbers to reach them at any time, we just couldn't utilize it)!
Thanks for staying with us. And thanks for the review...
We live on site so you just needed to swing by my house... I will improve the ways to reach me .... Thanks Allie,
Stayed at Zula for 2 nights and loved it! Going back for 10 more days and can't wait. The pool and rancho area is great and the free morning coffee is a great perk as is the bike that's available to use to run to the store or whatever. Everything is very convenient with surfboards to rent and hammocks on our (email hidden)ry comfy and safe , clean and convenient. Great place, nice people, can't wait to go back!
Rotem's place was beautiful!, super clean, great location. The place was also very safe and we had no worry when leaving our things behind for the day. The staff working there were really helpful and friendly, eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We loved Rotems little doggy Canario. Coffee was fresh and ready everyday all day. It was close to a grocery store. Plenty of privacy and very quiet. Zula Inn is the perfect place to stay no matter what you are looking to do. Rotem was an excellent host, we would LOVE to come back there. Gracias Rotem! Pura vida desde Minnesota
An awesome spot! I've stayed in a lot of places in Santa Teresa and would highly recommend Zula Inn. The guys are really helpful and run a great restaurant down the road. (Also called Zula)
Quiet, good vibes, clean and in a great location on the one and only road. Five stars!
Rotem was extremely helpful and Zula Inn was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and would do it again!
My husband and I happened to find Zula on air bnb as we visited in October, just at the end of low season in Santa Teresa. We were staying in the area for 12 days, and it was so easy to settle in there and make it home. The little bungalows are perfect size, and the full kitchen was so great to be able to make meals (when we felt like it). The out door living space, and the pool nice on days when my husband went to surf- everyday, because the waves were good consistently.. and I stayed and enjoyed the property. The wildlife just in the hotel grounds is amazing- birds, butterflies, giant iguanas, and sometimes the monkeys in the trees. The best part for us about this place though was the owners and the staff. Zula is truly a family owned business, and they have so much obvious love for this property and for Costa Rica. We had some things stolen off the beach- which is common although still a bummer (dont take things you like to the beach). Avi and Rotem, the brothers who own Zula were so helpful and even offered to loan us money until our replacement cards got fed exed from the US. Over all, we had an awesome time and were glad we found Zula Inn.
We loved staying in the little casitas of Zulu. Avie and rotem are excellent men and they're help- especially the Gardner Mauricio- are all kind and accommodating beyond. Great location in Santa Theresa as well, fab restaurant , especially if you love Israeli food and spice.
We have had an amazing, so relaxing week here. This place is like an oasis in the middle of town. Since we came in the rainy season we did have quite a bit of that. Rotem was very helpful whenever we had questions. The coffee shop/bakery was our most loved place in town, amazing coffee. One thing we wished we had known that really you need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get here a little more easily. Would come here again.
