I'm Dutch but I've been living in Florence for 18 years with a couple of breaks in Amsterdam and New York. I'm an architect and furniture designer.

Julie is a great host. All communication with her was prompt and helpful and she was waiting for us when we arrived in the rain.
The apartment is well-located and we walked everywhere. It is beautifully renovated and we felt immediately at home. The furnishings include more than just the average ikea and the kitchen was so well-stocked we were able to make dinner most nights.
Julie provided us with a list of her favourite restaurants, locations of rubbish disposal and supermarkets. She even called a tour operator to help us try to reschedule a tour.
The apartment is very cosy for 6 once you have all the beds made up, however it's charm and location made it a wonderful base for exploring florence.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The perfect location to explore the city. It is located 5 minutes walk from the Academia and about 7 to the Duomo- you really can't get a better location. As you leave the apartment you cannot help but stumble across the history of the city- in the square close by you will find the foundlings wheel (1445), the equestrian monument (look for the bees) and the 'cloister of the dead' in the monastery.
julie was a great host, we arrived early and she was with us in 5 minutes to look after us.
The flat is perfect- nicely decorated, with a really clean and functional bathroom and kitchen. Useful things to know-
good double bed with solid mattress
good secure entry and door
good kitchen, with washer/dryer and dishwasher
good heating system- the flat was cozy on cold february evenings
If you like sleeping with the window open- it is a noisy street (to be expected this close to the centre) so take ear plugs. however, the windows provide good noise insulation.
All in all 100%
very nice place. Close to all the interesting place.
Ótima estadia. Excelente apartamento muito bem localizado. Julie foi ótima .
Our family of 5 absolutely loved staying here! Julie was a very gracious host, warmly welcoming us to this amazing city. Her communication before and during our stay was impressive. This apartment is spotless--you're going to love it. It's in an ideal location for getting everywhere. We loved having a washer and dryer, and there was plenty of room for all of us. Our only regret is that we didn't stay an extra day. Thank you, Julie, for your part in making this a great vacation!
Lovely apartment. Looks just like the pics. It's clean. Nicely designed. Great beds. And central to everything. Julie was delightful and really helpful. We'd go back in a heartbeat.
Lovely traditional apartment which was within walking distance to the Duomo. Julie was very nice & she replied to my messages promptly & met us on arrival as specified & gave us all the information we needed to know. We had an amazing time in Florence and we would like to thank Julie for letting us stay at her beautiful apartment.
Perfect apartment in an ideal location. Seconds from the Duomo, but on a quiet street away from the noise. Our only regret is that we could not have stayed longer. Spacious, modern, quiet and immaculate. Kudos, Julie.
Julie was more than accommodating. She met us at the apartment at our convenience and gave us a quick but thorough run down of the apartment.
Prior to staying at Julie's apartment my family and I were staying at an overpriced hotel and Julie's apartment was a welcome change. Comfortable beds, a good shower, and great living room. Thanks Julie!
All the best,
First, about the host -- Julie was super helpful from the moment we booked the apartment. She answered our pre-trip questions, was right on time for our check-in and was very gracious showing us the apartment and providing us tips. She even booked our return taxi home so it was waiting for us out front on the morning of our departure. Next, the apartment. Suffice it to say the photos definitely do not do it justice. It was a beautiful, spacious, well-equipped apartment with everything you could possibly need to have a home away from home. The location was literally two blocks away from the Duomo, on a safe street bustling with locals. You could hear the bells of the Duomo ringing in each day. Truly would not consider staying anywhere else when we return to Florence.
Absolutely great guests and a pleasure to have around!
Julie & Frederico were wonderful guests - warm, polite people who were observant of house rules. They were clean and tidy, with excellent communications prior to their stay with us. We recommend you host them and hope to do the same again in the future.
Julie was a lovely guest with great communication.
They left the boat in a beautiful manner and were very gracious and understanding when the water pump decided to turn itself on whenever it decided to!
Would be lovely to meet them on a future visit
Amazing guest! A seasoned Airbnb user with plenty of insight into being both a guest and a host herself. Can't ask for better - highly recommended.
Very nice people and good host.
My house is your house when you want.
Julie and her boyfriend have been two great hosts. I've barely notice that they were in the apt, 'cause they worked all day long during the Design Week. They left the apt in perfect conditions and I'll be happy to host them again next year. See you soon guys! :)
Julie, è un'ospite perfetta, sorridente e simpatica e gentile
