James is a man with two faces. While our review covered flaws he admitted, his review appears like an impolite rant. He always pretended to be super-friendly in messages Airbnb could see. But when he found out Airbnb was helping all four tenants in the flat to get a refund he became threatening and personally insulting when we met in person. The other nice couple in the flat were law students and knew how to deal with him. On check-out day James started painting the flat. When I heard he would bring his one year old child to the flat I was worried as the whole house already smelled like paint which can be quite unhealthy to inhale. James arrived early and we did not have enough time to move all our luggage. I explained this to him but he went completely mad and just removed our remaining belongings. They were lying in the hallway. A glass of marmalade that was a present for my Grandma broke and he kept a bag and some food we wanted to give to St Mungos. To be honest I was afraid of him and asked the neighbour for help. She is a nice lady in her 80s who invited us for tea a few times while we lived there. I was relieved she managed to calm him down. My girlfriend had left the house earlier as she was afraid James might physically harm her. We found out more about him than we wanted. In the end what bothers me more than the flaws is the way James deals with all of us. He has two faces.
