I have had three careers. I first started as a high school teacher of Japanese and ESOL. Then I decided that controlling 14 year olds wasn't my thing and changed careers to become a travel agent. However, the high stress and low pay in that job got to

I'm a 40 year old Information Librarian/Liaison Librarian working for a Vocational College in the western suburbs of Auckland. I love to travel, but can't afford to do it too often! I have a border collie dog called Cody who gets up to mischief, but he's so cute that he gets away with more than he should!

Of late, my holidays have been to Australia, which is one of closest International neighbours to New Zealand. I have also taken a few holidays within New Zealand.

My top 5 want to go to places: Rio de Janeiro, Budapest, Vanuatu, Islands of Hawaii other than Oahu, Canada. (I haven't been to any of these places before.)

5 things I can't live without: A smartphone, Internet access, A good book, food and water (Hey, I know the last two are lame answers, but I couldn't think of anything better!)

In terms of books, I'm currently reading through the John Grisham novels. I've read the first seven so far - reading in chronological order as to when he has written them. I am a big fan of 1960s & 70s British comedy - Are You Being Served?; The Good Life; Father Dear Father; On The Buses; Dad's Army; Bless this House. I also love the Carry On movies and the more recent "Keeping Up Appearances".

I love commercial airlines and airports and information about these topics. I would love to be able to afford to fly more often to experience new airlines. I go out to Auckland airport 'plane-spotting' about once every two months. (Shame the variety of airlines coming into Auckland isn't brilliant.) I also love all the "reality" shows that deal with airlines, airports, border security etc.
