Dazzle and Charm was a great base for our trip to LA. The place is just as lovely and homely as it seems in the pictures. It's a short walk from Hollywood Boulevard and right next to Franklin Village which is a great little row of bars and restaurants that we ended up visiting most evenings.
This was our first experience of using Airbnb. Jack was a great host, answered any messages very quickly and even allowed us to leave our bags in the apartment for a late check out.
Although a parking space was provided, we didn't hire a car. Here are a few tips others may find useful if you're relying on public transport:
1) we visited the Warner Brothers tour and it was easily the most enjoyable part of our stay. You can get there for less than 10 dollars in an Uber taxi from the apartment.
2) The starlight bus tours are a great way to get around LA. We managed to visit Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice Beach and the Farmers Market over the course of 2 days. The nearest stop (stop 15) is about a 10-15 min walk away on Hollywood Boulevard.
We loved staying at Jack's place! It's in a great neighbourhood close to everything you need. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends. Thanks for everything Jack!
We had a great experience staying in Jack's apartment during our stay in LA. Jack was very helpful , friendly and welcoming. The apartment was clean and comfortable.
Our stay at Jack's studio in Franklin Village was absolutely excellent. My boyfriend and I ended our road trip down the coast with a stay here in LA, looking for a comfortable, convenient home base with a parking spot. Jack's place was that and more!
Jack is so friendly, kind, and welcoming, communicating patiently by text and phone as we navigated our way to the apartment. He gave us a much appreciated introduction to the (awesome) neighborhood upon our arrival, and walked us through certain features of the apartment (like the full access to Direct TV). The studio was a perfect size for two, and is decorated so thoughtfully. The kitchen is stocked with spices and other fixings needed to whip up a meal if needed. The entire place is spotless clean and really feels like a home. The AC/fan kept us happy throughout the night. And the bed... So comfy!
The location was ideal. Right near Griffith Park, Hollywood, and a 10 minute drive to downtown and cute spots in Echo Park, Silver Lake, Los Feliz. The parking spot was something we were looking for, but this private spot in the back of the building helped us feel especially safe! A treat to not have to look for parking constantly.
Jack is clearly an Airbnb super host. I have no doubt that we will stay at one of his listings again on our next trip to LA. Staying here was the perfect way to wrap up our vacation. One of the best Airbnb experiences I've had, for sure.
Jack's place is charming and cozy, just as advertised! The neighborhood is fantastic: Sunset Boulevard is literally a few blocks away, and the reservoir is about a mile and a half -- going there and around it was a fantastic morning run! As for Jack, he's everything you would want in a host. Apartment came well equipped and was spotless and had fantastic amenities. I ended up arriving a bit later than I had anticipated -- I showed up at 10 PM on a Friday, which I felt awful about -- but Jack was super nice about it (and super nice in general!). Checkout was seamless. Highly recommend staying here -- and I hope I can find this place available for when I want to come back!
Jacks Hollywood apartment was in a nice neighbor boyhood and extremely clean and updated. The bed was comfortable and the included parking space was very convenient. Jack was even able to accommodate our early arrival and was very warm and friendly during our checkin. Recommended!
It is a great place to travel L.A
All in all a really great place in a great location :)
Jack's studio was one of the best Airbnb experiences I've had so far. It literally had everything I was looking for, and then some. It's its own private space in a quiet building in a fun neighborhood. The accommodations itself checked all the boxes -- spacious, clean, beautifully furnished, private, safe (keycode entry w/option to deadbolt w/key), etc... The neighborhood is amazing since you have a bunch of restaurants and bars on the very next block over, with a supermarket just on the next block after that. I chose that spot strategically because most of my friends are in that area and I knew it would be easier to see them that way, but I underestimated exactly how easy it would be to meet up with so many viable options so close to me. I honestly can't have imagined a better scenario. Many friends who wound up visiting the space before we went out commented that they wanted that studio for themselves since they were so blown away by it. It's literally the perfect space for a single person/couple, couldn't have asked for more. You have your own dedicated private parking spot too, in the back behind the whole building, which came in handy for me when friends would come to visit (since I didn't have a car of my own). I'm convinced this place can't be beat.
Quartiere vivibile pieno di locali e vicino ad un centro commerciale. L'host non poteva essere più gentile e cordiale
