Great apartment that accommodated my family of 5 adults and 1 child comfortably. Best part is it is within 5min walking distance of the metro (Botzaris). There was also a supermarket and cafes around within 5min walking distance. Will not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone.
Merci Virginie!
We felt welcomed when we met Virginie's husband. The apartment is well-decorated and ideal for 5 people. We stayed here for 6 nights, it's really quiet at night. We had a great stay at Virginie's apt and really felt like home. The location is not in the centre of Paris, but the distance to metro is within 5 mins by walk. I'll highly recommend it if you have a big group of people.
The apartment was great and the hosts were extremely helpful.
Highly recommended. We spent few days in the apartment and everything was great. We were 5 and everyone had a good sleep. The apartment is ideal for 4/6 people. Clean, well decorated, with everything you need and with high ceilings which makes it a bit more special. It is located 5 min on foot from the metro.
We arrived very late (about 1:30 am) and Virginie's husband was waiting for us. He helped us with everything and solved all our doubts.
We had a fantastic stay at Virginie's apartment!
Virginie was very helpful with transportation around Paris. Very welcoming too. The listing was accurate to description.
This is an ideal Parisian apartment in a quiet, residential neighborhood. It's furnished perfectly and even the creaky wooden floors add to it's character. We were a group of five and were all quite comfortable. The walk to the metro is painless and there are several restaurants, a market and bakeries within walking distance. Thank you for your hospitality, Virginie!
We really enjoyed our stay at Virginie's place. It was well represented and very classic.
We were able to stay with our babysitter and our toddler. It is a very open floor plan w/o much privacy with three or four, but that wasn't really a concern for us. Her place feels like you stepped back in time a little. Not dated at all, but as mentioned very classic. The windows are great and the temps were perfect for us to enjoy the weather outside in September.
We loved the old skeleton keys! It really makes you feel like this place has some history. The floors are a little squeaky in a couple spots so if you are a lite sleeper, beware, but it is a charming squeak. It is on the second floor, as are many places which was no problem for us, but should be mentioned. The tall ceilings and multi-piece crown molding were great.
It is situated within a 3 minute walk to the Butte Chaumont Park which is a wonderful place to go w/a spouse, a child, alone or for exercise. There must have been at least a hundred people doing laps around the park on foot. We enjoyed the restaurant in the park as well as the waterfall and just strolling around w/our toddler.
The area has more to offer than we had time for. We spent what time we had divided between this neighborhood and the major tourists areas. To get to those, it's just a 3 minute walk to the subway and then a 10 to 30 min ride depending on where you are going and how many switches you have to do in the subway, but that's Paris.
Food in the groceries is a lot less expensive in the neighborhood than in the center of town, so if you are touring the hotspots, swing into a grocery and grab your water and other items on the way.
Her husband was waiting for us upon our arrival to show us the place and how to use the keys. They were always available by phone if needed. She also helped us arrange a taxi for the airport at the last minute since ours fell through.
We were very pleased to go there and would be happy to stay at Virginie's place again.
Our group of four adults had a very nice and comfortable stay. We had no issues with the water or the Internet connection as some other reviewers mentioned. I would, however, recommend testing out the key mechanisms on the apartment door before you leave as there is a trick to it and you don't want to struggle with opening the door to get in after a long day of sight-seeing like we did! Once we figured it out after the first night it wasn't a problem. Having a washer was a big plus. Virginie was very quick to respond to any questions that I had, both before and during the stay. We had a great time!
