Excellent, clean and calm apartment close to Moscow center. Beautiful view over the city. We slept very well. Thanks a lot!
A really, really lovely apartment.
The place is very tastefully-decorated, relaxing, quiet, clean, and has wonderfully high ceilings. Great views across to Arbat, Smolenskaya and Sparrow Hills beyond (should you want to, you can even see the new city if you crane your neck to the right). It's an easy 15-minute walk to Red Square, straight down the street.
Our host, Olga, was really friendly and helpful; meeting us on arrival, recommending an excellent Georgian restaurant nearby: 'Khachapuri', on Krivokolennyy Pereulok (about 10 minutes' walk along the Boulevard Ring). We did go, Olga -- twice!
All in all a great place to stay if you want to make the most of your time enjoying this fantastic city. Right in Presnya, among the beautiful turn-of-the-century buildings and theatres. Restaurants and bars abound.
We will be back...
Olga (Daniel's mom) is a caring host and wants to make sure that everything is in place. The apartment has pretty much everything one needs and is well appointed. Olga provides plenty of dresser drawers and closet space. The apartment itself is on the top (ninth) floor of the building - the elevator goes to the eighth floor and then you have to walk up the last flight.
One thing for taller people to note is that the kitchen and bathroom ceiling slope down, and the ceiling above the bathroom sink clears about five feet eight inches. Anyone taller will have to do some crouching.
The apartment is in an excellent central downtown location. There are two different metro stations within an 8-10 minute walk. There is a grocery store two blocks away. In short, it's a convenient, well kept apartment and I would recommend it to others.
Olga was a fantastic host; all the organization at the beginning went smooth without any problems; the flat is very nice, in a old very stylish manner with the luxury of the end 18century, everything is clean. It`s located in a clean, nice house with a concierge in the basement...
You find this house in one of the best areas in Moskau, near Patriarshy Prud
We enjoyed the time there very much and hope to stay again in this place. Thanks a lot Olga!
Olga was the consummate host. She worked with me through a scheduling snafu, and generously accommodated my need to change dates. She met me at the apartment, and was great at helping me get settled in. The apartment was perfect for my needs :
large, clean, and nice. The view from is great, and the location is fantastic. You are a short walk away from everything you want to see, and many of the best restaurants are nearby. There is also a thriving local expat scene in the neighborhood, which can be a welcome relief if you do not speak Russian. Overall, I highly recommend staying here.
Thank you,Kappie. Wish you all the best.
This place is amazing. It has old school soviet charm with high ceilings and huge windows overlooking old and new parts of city. The apartment is situated right in the heart of Moscow, everything is accessible by walk (Red square etc). The street is quiet and the neighborhood is friendly with tons of nice cafes and little magic pond with swans, where some of the "Master and Margarita" characters strolled in the famous Bulgakov's book.
Olga is very friendly and laid-back.
Thank you,Yulia. I am really touched by your romantic words. All the best.Olga.
Very well.. the host was very interactive, helpful & caring. When needed they were always available. Everything was like it is in pictures. Excellent location n very quiet. loved my stay was very comfortable. Will stay again on my next visit. Highly recommend to people going to moscow on short n long stays when two people are there maximum. Very close n walking to Kremlin and other important places around the city center. also good small cafes & restaurants near by.
This is a cool apartment on the top floor of a stolid Stalin-era building erected for members of the Soviet elite. High ceilings, a voluptuous colonnade, and a green yard are some of the welcome accoutrements. The place is wonderfully located - close to everything, yet away from the maddening noise of major streets. We pretty much walked everywhere, from the nearby zoo to the Red Square (a bit of a hike). There's a grocery store at the back of the building. Checking in and checking out was a breeze, and Olga and Daniel proved to be charming hosts. Staying at their place was a good experience, thanks.
Charming apartment in very central moscow area!
