Our flight was great and our taxi took us over to the house. When we got there, it was locked out and she did not answer her phone.
after waiting a while she called us back and told us this house was unavailable and we could not stay there. That was the end of having a good trip. I could say more, but I am still very mad about the outcome.
I absolutely loved staying here! I was really nervous about booking the location because it wasy my first visit to the Bahamas in a very long time, but once I arrived I realized that I made a great choice. Denise was wonderful and answered every question I had promptly. The apartment was a great size and very neat and clean and we had everything we needed to feel at home. I will definitely be staying here again when I return to the Bahamas!!!
Schönes Hotel direkt am Strand, außerhalb von Nassau. Sehr ruhig gelegen, nette Leute. Der Strand war einer der schönsten in der Gegend.
I would not recommend this apart-hotel, as it is not value for money at the advertised rate. There was a major cleanliness issue, with dirty sheets and bathroom. We asked for change from the receptionist (not the host advertising this) but did not get anywhere. Thankfully, Denise agreed to refund half my payment given these issues. I would not book this again.
First it is not the owner Denise is an agent. This means it is more expensive than booking directly. The breakfast is not even average. The rooms are somewhat run down and nothing what you would expect from the nice cottages shown on the picture. They are in the front of the Orange Hill (correct Name of the place), but you stay at a motel like Building at the back. Bottom line: Overpriced.

Denise was helpful with any questions we had, the apartment was clean and very homey. The beach was about a 15 minute walk and downtown was about a half hour, not terrible if only staying for a few days. We were pretty worn out after our 5 day stay. There were a lot of food choices nearby that we're great. The only downside was the neighborhood noise late at night into the early morning, lost of loud music and yelling. The worst of it was on Saturday and Sunday night, thank heavens I had my earplugs from our plane ride. All in all, good place to stay for a few days.

This place was very nice and relaxed and good fun. The owners and workers were really helpful and made you feel like family. Rick drove me one morning down to buy some snorkeling gear and flip flops and told me all about the politics of the Bahamas - really fun, personable, likeable approach to having guests stay there, and that's rare.
The actual place was not quite what was advertised. I was a sucker for the picture, but you don't actually stay in any of those nice looking places in the picture. This is a motel - a bit dingy and sparse - with contiguous rooms overlooking a pool, and very far from anywhere you'd want to go on foot. The cooking is rather good - though not cheap - and breakfast is not included (something one might expect from a B&B), but I have no complaints there. It's fine to stay for a night or two - I booked for three, which is 1 or 2 more than I would have liked, but I suppose those are the risks you take.
There's a bus that picks you up outside for $1.50 and takes you into town - that's a 15/20 minute ride, and they stop running in the late afternoon. You need to take a taxi at that point. You can lounge on the beach right outside the B&B (across the main road), but it's a short beach, right on the traffic, and you wouldn't want to leave your things alone there while you go in the water.
At some point during my second day all the power went out, and all the water too, for several hours. Didn't bother me but if you needed the internet or the shower, this might have crawled up your nose a bit.
I'd have to give this place top marks for friendliness, a warm place to land for sure, but what was being offered was clearly too expensive for what it actually was. It's a getaway for sure, but only if you like staying in your hotel.
