Emad was a difficult guest. After arrival, he complained that to me he did not like my apartment and that it was not up to his expectations. As a result, both Airbnb and I offered to find him alternative accomodations.
Quite unexpectedly, Emad refused the offer, and told me that he actually intended to stay for the full booking, but that he should not have to pay for his stay at all. I asked him why he insisted on staying if he did not like my apartment, and he never gave me a good answer.
I have never dealt with a squatter situation, whether a guest tries to negotiate a free stay at my condo - after villifying and disparaging my home and telling me how bad my place is. Emad even went out of his way to make a home video of my place without my permission and violating my privacy, where he ranted for 10 minutes about the place he hated so much and yet insisted on staying. Finally, rather than checking out at the appointed time of 12 pm, he further extended his stay until well into the afternoon without asking me about it. He did not show the courtesy or respect of a good guest.
Emad did not respect my generosity as a host and was not a neighborly guest.
