This was my first experience with Airbnb and Niki really exceeded all my expectations! She was always available to answer questions about where to go, how to get places. Her place was perfect. I stayed there with my parents- I slept on the couch and it was comfy! The neighborhood was great- safe, quiet, able to walk to places to eat and to the streetcar. It was the perfect retreat after being in the really touristy areas of New Orleans. I highly recommend staying here!
The pictures do not give Niki's home justice. My friends and I (5 of us) stayed there during Mardi Gras 2015 and had an amazing time and a pleasant stay. Niki's home was as described in the description and everything was clean and neat. The neighbors are also very friendly and taught us how to navigate the parades during Mardi Gras.
Niki is an amazing host, we were in constant communication preceding our trip and she always answered my questions promptly during our stay. She also gave us amazing recommendations for food and was very welcoming.
Niki's home is in Midcity, which was an amazing reprieve from the crowded French Quarter. Also, we were able to quickly take the street car to the quarter for only $1.25/way. Taxi rides between her home and the quarter were only 10-15 minutes and relatively cheap if you remind the driver to start the meter.
Overall, we had an amazing stay in Niki's home and was very pleased with our experience in New Orleans during our first Mardi Gras.
Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at Niki's. Everything was as described and staying in Mid City as opposed to near the Quarter made it a different trip. We went to places we wouldn't ordinarily go to and enjoyed more of the "real New Orleans". It was incredibly easy to get around, and we loved our stay!
We had the best time staying at Niki's place! Her home was welcoming, charming and in a great location. I came with a large group for NYE and we all fit comfortably and happily in the house. Niki was quick to respond and was very accommodating. She even left really great reviews for restaurants and parties. We can't wait to come back!!
Niki's place is delightful!! It's in a great location in a lovely
neighborhood. The ambiance is charming, and there's plenty of room.
Most importantly, she is a lovely and helpful host, and obviously
loves her city, as she was really responsive and helpful with respect
to tips for things to do around the city. My wife and I both loved our
experience there, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat!!
We had a wonderful time renting this house. It was close by go some really great places. Short walk to bars, restaurants, and the trolly. The house was adorable and had everything we needed. Very comfortable stay.
My friends and I just returned from New Orleans and we had a blast. We stayed at Nikki’s house for one night and it was perfect. The night we stayed we went to the Saints game on Sunday night (GEUX SAINTS!) and they killed it. The house was exactly as the name describes it, beautiful and charming. As soon as we walked in we could tell Nikki takes great pride in her home, the place was well decorated, very clean and slept 4 guys very comfortably. The location was great for our purpose and would be great for all types of trips. Nikki’s home is located in a beautiful neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants and amenities nearby. We were never able to meet Nikki but she was very easy to get a hold of if we ever had a questions and she was great at recommending places to go before and after the game. We took a cab right to the Superdome and the cost was around $10-15 and that would also get you to bourbon or Frenchman. All in all we had a great time and I would highly recommend Nikki’s place to anyone going to New Orleans for any type of trip. Maybe next time we go we will get to meet Nikki. Thanks again.
I'm so glad you all had a great time in New Orleans! I do love my home and my city, and love sharing them with visitors!
An older residence with beautiful hardwood floors, high ceilings and natural wood trim throughout made this is a charming and comfortable home for us to stay in during our week long stay in NOLA. A dedicated parking spot also took the chore out of finding a place to park the car each time we returned home.
Niki was a great host and quickly responded to our text messages for whatever we needed, including giving us a great late night recommendation for us to grab a bite to eat the night that we arrived when everything seemed closed. Niki also includes a great list of recommended places in the area that took the guesswork out of finding the right places to eat or to grab a coffee.
Thank you for such a wonderful review. I love when my guests enjoy the character and charm of and older home!
My family and couldn't have been happier or more comfortable than we were at Nicki's wonderful home. She left thoughtful extras like k-cups for coffee and a six pack of local beer in the fridge. We cooked in her well equipped kitchen on numerous occasions and found every pan, knife, etc...we could have needed. The wi-if worked great and so did the air. It wasn't easy finding a place where all six of us could stay that had everything we needed and was affordable. This place far exceeded our expectations. She left a typed travel guide with all sorts of helpful information and recommendations. We didn't need to ask any questions since she covered everything in her guide but she always responded promptly when I texted her. When we left we were already planning our next trip back to stay at Nicki's place. It was a few blocks of a pleasant walk to the street car downtown. We never had to drive the car out of its spot in the driveway. The neighborhood was quiet and close to the grocery store. There was a high school field across the street shown in the pictures which made the neighborhood feel safe and friendly. The pictures were accurate and actually the place was nicer than I expected it to be. My advice is don't hesitate to take advantage of this comfortable and affordable place. I felt as close as I wanted to be to everything in New Orleans. My parents , sister, husband and 4 year old had an amazing time in no small part because we had somewhere we felt at home to come back to after a full days sightseeing. This was my first airbnb experience and if it is always like this I am a sold! It would have been impossible to fit us all into a hotel room and we couldn't have afforded two for five nights! Thank you Nicki for being such a wonderful host.
Thank you so much for the wonderful and thorough review!
Had a wonderful stay @ Niki's place in mid-city. Loved the home. So much room (5 huge rooms), awesome front porch, super comfy bed, great shower with tons of hot water and off street driveway to park. Would definitely return. Thanks Nik!
Thank you for your review Jack!
Sweetest person EVER...she and her girlfriend came and they were such a delight. Niki has visited before but this time we had some time in the morning to talk and then I practiced yoga nidra with them...I think they enjoyed my class. Really hope she returns again soon. Now she has stayed upstairs in the room with the balcony and downstairs in the kids room!!
Great guest. I enjoyed having them.
