Currently I work for the Nevada State Health Division in Chronic Disease as a Program Manager. I have my Masters in Social Work and have a passion for macro level community health. Much of my public health career has been in HIV/AIDS prevention, oral health and Community Health Workers. I'm currently working on policy reform in the state of Nevada to deregulate syringes so we can have a syringe exchange locally.
My hobbies are reading, writing, working out and keeping to my mantra, "quality of life." I have done radio for 12+ years as a career and recently made the dramatic career move to public health. I dabble in digital marketing and digital design but mostly because my past talents lend to my current philanthropic adventures. I also love music and travel all the time to see shows.
I have a wonderful boyfriend who also works in public health but more on the clinical side and a tiny puppy named Pocket which I adore.
I was born and raised in Reno, NV but I've lived in Texas and Southern California. I aspire to do more traveling.
My motto is "Where there is a will, there is a way," and most currently, "Live a quality life." I pride myself on being very motivated, dependable and independent.
