My hometown is Austin, Texas. I write about theology, teach classes in religion, and work for a human rights organization. I'm also a licensed massage therapist.
Christine and her companion were great guests. Friendly polite quiet.
They are welcome back anytime
Christine is one of my best friends. I've known her for....gosh, almost a decade (?). She is a conscientious person who is a wonderful guest (I've hosted her in my home back in Austin). She is also a great conversationalist; smart as a whip and funny!
Most of our bonding occurred when we both lived in Austin. My home was in Hyde Park (how I adore it!) and Christine and I got together every week for Chocotini Wednesday (well, the day sort of moved around). We would meet at my house and walk through the tree lined neighbourhood down to Dolce Vita (a great coffee shop) for our usual cocktail. We liked to sit on the patio where we would listen to live music and people watch; sharing our week with each other and laughing. We took many happy, (only) slightly tipsy, iPhone pics during these times. Two little faces gazing up wistfully. They were wonderful days which I will always cherish.
You couldn't ask for a better guest than Christine! She's tidy, polite, thoughtful, and self-empowered - she can very handily fend for herself. Her conversation is not to be missed! How often do you get a chance to host a PhD in Religious Studies? :)
