Cristian was wonderful, extremely helpful and responsive. The apartment is very clean, with modern bathrooms, great wifi, and a terrace. The location is also fantastic in terms of convenience, located a few steps from Campo di Fiore. The one caution is that the neighborhood is loud at night. This is not a flaw of this apartment, in fact, if you want to be in this location, this apartment has the advantage of being on the top floor. It is just something to consider when choosing a location to stay within Rome. I've found the neighborhoods around Piazza Navona and the Pantheon to be a bit quieter while also central. Travestere is not quite as central, but is lovely to eat and wander around, and much quieter. All in all, this is a great apartment near Campo di Fiore.
Perfect location- steps from Piazza Trilussa, just a few minutes walk from Santa Maria in Trastevere, an easy walk across the Tiber to the center. I believe this is a place that is meant to be rented out (like a hotel). The host wasn't waiting for us, but we called and someone was there shortly to let us in. He was great with communication leading up to the rental as well. Kitchen is always nice to have- though you'll have to stock it yourself (food, dish soap, paper towels and no coffee maker.) Overall, truly great place for the price and a really great location. Would definitely recommend to someone wanting to stay in the Trastevere neighborhood on a budget.
Great location near The Pantheon and Navona. It's also in Campo de Fiori where the nightlife happens.
The appartment is the best hop off for a perfect Rome experience! You can literally walk to any place of interest: at day to all the sights including the Colosseum, Forum Romanum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Spanish Steps. And at night to one of the bars or restaurants in Trastevere.
Furthermore it was very clean and the two bedrooms with queen size beds are big enough fpr two couples or a family with two kids. You also have a well equiped kitchen, a bathroom with a washing machine and some smaller conveniences like wifi, aircon and towels :)
A friend of Cristian was waiting in front of the appartment at the set up time and showed us the appartment. Although we didn't ask him, I'm sure he could have given us some advices on where to go or what to do because he also lives in the neighborhood.
All in all, we experienced the weekend that we wished for!
Host gentilissimo e disponibile.
We had a great time with Christian. The apartment was fine, ad he was very accommodating. He even allowed us to leave our bags elsewhere when we were being difficult about leaving times.
I would certainly recommend this apartment, great location, fantastic restaurants nearby, and a respectable price.
Great little apartment in a perfect location if you want to have walking access to almost all of Rome. The pictures were really accurate. We walked basically everywhere (a lot of walking but this is a great location if you like that.) We would come back to the apartment late afternoon for a little rest and then either have dinner in Trastevere or the Jewish Ghetto-both within 15 minutes and have a ton of amazing restaurants.
My one tip-consider bringing earplugs. The apartment is on a quiet cobblestone street but it (email hidden)ly neighborhood and Rome is home to the most talkative seagulls on the planet. I always bring them in my toiletries just in case, and between the gulls and the jet lag I was glad to have them.
Overall an amazing apartment and we would definitely stay here again!
PROS: Very central location for sightseeing. Try eating at Piperno and Enoteca Ferrara for less touristy dining. The place was bigger than it looked in the listing and the kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was decent. It was clean (but the floor was dirty and there was a stained sheet covering the futon sofa). The washer was really useful.
CONS: This is more like a hotel. Upon arrival they take a photo of your passport, charge a 25 Euro tax and ask you to sign a contract, which all made us a bit uncomfortable. The hot water runs out after 1 short shower, so 2 people really can't take a hot/ warm shower. This area is insanely touristy and a party neighborhood at night around the weekend. Because the front door opens directly onto the street and there were kids drinking across the street late into the night it was really loud. The only bus connecting to this neighborhood is really infrequent, so we had to take cabs to and from the train station.
We would have preferred to stay in Testaccio, where there are better restaurants, metro access, better access to grocery stores and fewer rowdy tourists at night.
