A fantastic property in a fantastic location. Very accommodating hosts. Highly recommended.
I stayed in Sopley with my husband to attend a wedding in the nearby Sopley Mill. The accommodation is beautiful. Stylish, spotlessly clean with original features and artworks. Our bedroom was in a private part of the house and it was very comfortable with a large bathroom at our disposal.
The village has a pub where, if we didn't feel like cooking (but were at ease to do so) we could have a meal. A welcome basket of basics was left for us for breakfasts in the spacious kitchen of the house.
Maxine was kindness itself and we enjoyed meeting other family members too. Our specific needs were met and surpassed.
I have nothing but the highest of level of praise for this airbnb.
We will return for a proper holiday next year.
The house is beautiful, the location perfect the welcome fantastic the problem was that the guest room was next door to a lodger who has the loudest snoring problem I have ever heard.
I booked for 3 nights but stayed for only 2.
To be fair after I mentioned the problem after the first night I was offered earplugs .
If you want a good nights sleep don't stay here.......sorry but that's the reality of it.
Amazing place near the New Forest. Everything perfect with exchanging keys etc. Clean and large house. Thanks a lot!
A short tour of the beautifull converted barn and we got the key and it was perfect
I had a great time at Maxine ( Rachael's Mum) house, she was very friendly and helpful. The house is beautiful and very clean. I would come back everytime and I can recomend it for a stay in south England. Thank you
We were welcomed by Maxine ( Rachael's Mum) who was very friendly and helpful. The Barn is beautifully converted and furnished. We had a lovely stay within comfortable surroundings. The homemade jams for breakfast were delicious.
The country side and surrounding buildings are hidden away and so very quiet and unexpected as you come off a country lane.
I would recommend a stay in this beautiful location next to the New Forest.
We stayed with Rachael for a week. We enjoyed ourselves very much. It is on the edge of the New Forest and as we love the outdoors it is the ideal place to stay. The house is shared, but we hardly ran into someone, just occasionally and both Sam and Lauren were extremely kind and helpful.
Maxim gave us a warm welcome.
The room we stayed in was not too big, but very clean. The bathroom would be privat, but during our stay the one bedroom was occupied. After we made reservations, the owner did sent us an e- mail telling us there would be another person staying and using the bathroom. The information upfront was highly appreciated. We initially were a bit worried as we like our privacy, but we had not need to worry at all. The other guest was kind and tidy.
The bathroom had a shower with nice hot water, but lacks a little bit of strength. The bath is a major plus and very nice to relax in after long days walk in the New Forest.
The house is clean, and we had a nice, upstairs, lounge. We could make use of the kitchen which is, for our standards, really big and everything you need is available.
All in all I would definitely recommend this place and if we would go to the New Forrest again, we sure will first check if this place is available.
The barn is beautiful... it is so quiet & peaceful (apart from roosters some mornings!) and it was very private. In fact, our schedules were apparently so different we never saw anyone in the barn, including our host! You have a shelf in the fridge and can help yourself to coffee and toast (with home made jams!). The room was clean and comfortable and the lounge that you can use was so impressive & calm. I would recommend quiet sleepers as sound travels easily between the two bedrooms...Thank you for a very pleasant stay.
Rachael's barn was gorgeous, with plenty of space for us to enjoy our time away without feeling like we were intruding on their home. There was a friendly welcome and then we didn't see anyone for the whole long weekend. Rachael also let us know in advance that there would be someone sharing our bathroom, though we didn't end up seeing them either.
Location is quite remote, with a pub in walking distance - ideal for what we wanted but you definitely need a car.
Overall, we had a lovely, relaxing stay here.
it was a pleasure to welcome this gest at home
Great guests, clean, nice, and polite! Happy to have them again.
Rachel and her friends are great guests and I would reccomend them to all hosts. :)
Frandly and nice quests
Maxine, her daughter Rachael, and Maxine's sister Abbie, have been a huge delight to have as guests. Their gentleness and happiness floated through the apartment as serenely as the inviting sea. Rachael left to study after a few days and both sisters, immersed themselves in the culture of Vittoriosa, and in bathing in the sea. Truly a pleasure to share with you all. They were appreciative and joyful.
