Hi everybody, i hope you like my flat in Rome!
Our stay at Francesco’s Rome apartment was everything that we could have asked for and more. First of all, its location was perfect for touring the city. The apartment is about a 10 minute walk from Termini where you catch the train or the metro to virtually anywhere you would want to go in Rome or Italy. It was very easy to navigate the path from Termini to Francesco’s apartment. However, do not let the fact that it is close to Termini dissuade you from staying with Francesco. The apartment is in a very safe area and is even virtually next door to a police station. Upon meeting Francesco, he explained the best sites and paths to get to the great sites of Rome. He also explained what we needed to know about how everything functioned in the apartment. What was also especially important to us was our request that Francesco do his best to accommodate my severe allergies to nuts and certain fragrances in detergents. His attention to this detail made all the difference to our stay and we are in his debt for how diligent he was in averting any possible threats to my health. The primary reason that we rented an apartment was to use the kitchen to prepare our meals. The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything that we needed to cook every meal of our stay. The apartment was also in close proximity to a number of supermarkets and smaller markets where we could purchase fresh ingredients and normal faire for our meals. Using Francesco’s apartment as our starting out point, we were able to walk the city of Rome and hit practically every historical site, plaza, and museum in the city. Yet, it should be noted that we are young and active people who love to walk and wander. The apartment was also next door to the first Irish pub in Rome. It is a fun place to have a drink and relax after a long day of walking the city.
Great location and very nice cosy appartment, definititely the one to recommend..Francesco was very kind a helpful...very close to Termini and surrounded with a few nice cafes and restaurants...no doubts to rent it once more when come back to beautiful Roma :-)
We had a great long weekend in Francesco's apartment. He was there to meet us when we arrived, despite our flight being late, and took the time to explain everything we needed to know and what to do in central Rome - giving us a very useful map.
The apartment was clean and comfortable and exactly as show in the pictures. It's really central so we were able to walk everywhere. The only thing we would have changed about the weekend was the rain!
In a pleasant centrally located traditional neighborhood with everything to make life simple (public transport, food stores, department stores, bars and restaurants), a quiet flat on 3rd floor with little balcony, reasonably confortable. No frills furnishing, slightly underequiped in kitchenware and dishes.
Host was very reliable and considerate (my plane was two hours late) and gave scores of useful advice. There is also a useful choice of tourist guides and maps in Italian and English on the bookshelf.
Heating, hot water and wifi worked fine.
I absolutely loved this apartment! It's very conveniently located in the heart of the city and a short walk from Metro line B and Termini.
Francesco was a great host and offered the apartment to me for a month at an awesome price. He was very friendly clear when explaining the rules of the apartment etc.
Located on the third floor of the building on a quiet side street but very close to nightlife. No lift in the building though which wasn't an issue because the apartment was a great space. It was very clean and bright and had everything needed for a comfortable stay.
This is a great area and I would have liked to stay longer. It's a quick walk to Monti, which has tons of bars, restaurants, and nightlife. It's also a quick walk to the Roman Forum and Colosseum and many other attractions. You could easily spend a whole day just wondering around exploring the city from this central location.
Hot water never really worked properly and would alternate from hot to warm to cold when showering.
Host had me pay for gas, which was 100 euro. I guess it's a common thing when renting for a month but all other utilities were included.
Francesco is a very nice, helpful host. apartment locates in the centre. great experience in general. though the shower didn't work very well.
Francesco's flat is situated in a great location in Rome near Termini station. Comfortable stay. Francesco was a good host.
Good location, very cozy apartments, strongly recommend to stay here! Best choice for this price!
We were quite glad we picked Francesco's place on our recent honeymoon in Rome. It's clean, extremely convenient, comfortable and well priced. His place is within walking distance of Termini, which makes getting in and out of Rome a snap and is also the only place where Metro A & B meet. You can walk to many cool things from his place -- the cool and charming locals neighborhood of Monti (with great bars and restaurants on Via Urbana and Panisperna), the giant Esquilino produce market and many sights of central Rome, such as the Collosseum and Forum. Many tram and bus lines pass nearby, so it's also easy to go further afield. Francesco was responsive by email up to the trip, and met us right away when we got in. And the building and area are safe and very much a locals spot -- you will not feel surrounded by tourists.
